Born on April 6, 1981 and hailing from Northridge, California, Parker Somerville is a graduate with a bachelor's degree in radio/television from Southern Illinois University.  He currently works as a member of the paparazzi for TMZ.  He previously served in the Air Force for three years beginning 1999 and later received a general discharge.  Describing himself as inappropriate, unpredictable and authentic, he admits that he could not conform to military standards.  Raised by his single mother, Parker wears his heart on his sleeve and is very open about what he feels.  He admits that he can be one's best friend or worst enemy, and claims to have the power of persuasion.  He is most proud of losing 45 pounds through will power, diet and exercise.

Parker enjoys socializing, playing his Wii, laughing at other people's expense and doing anything besides working.  He has two pet lizards, Reggie and Simone, and has three tattoos, namely a Zodiac Ram on his arm, a rooster above his ankle and a kanji tattoo he and some of his Air force buddies share that reads "Brothers, Together, Eternally."  Parker also enjoys watching Weeds and Desperate Housewives.

Parker is one of 16 housemates on CBS’ Big Brother 9.
