Born on August 17, 1984 and hailing from Fridley, Minnesota, Amanda Hansen is a paralegal who earned her degree in political science from the Winona State University.  She is currently working as a legal contract specialist for a large health care insurance company.

Amanda is very close to her family and both her parents.  She claims that her mother is her best friend, and that she was also close to her father before he passed away.  Her mother serves as her inspiration to never give up and to maintain her hard work.

Amanda enjoys cooking, and claims that Italian cuisine is her specialty.  She is a self-confessed hopeless romantic and would like to know where all the good men in the world are.  She likes sending her friends a motivational quote daily by text message.  A sports enthusiast, she enjoys football and has played powder puff football in high school.  Her other favorite activities include running, shopping, dancing and entertaining.

Amanda is one of 16 housemates on CBS’ Big Brother Season 9.
