Episode Overview: James, new to the whole Head of Household thing, is forced to make two difficult nominations.

Episode Highlights:

  • The food competition ends up being far easier than first thought.
  • Mike Boogie checks himself out in the mirror a lot and talks in his sleep.

Recap:

We flashback briefly to Thursday's eviction episode to see Nakomis get the boot. Jase doesn't say goodbye, remaining in his seat on the couch, pouting. Now, we learn why: Jase still holds a grudge against Nakomis for administering the six-finger plan to evict him in BIG BROTHER 5. He doesn't want to “fake” a goodbye. Fair enough.

Nakomis only received two votes and there is some discussion on who those votes were from.  In reality, the votes were cast by Will and Janelle, but no one has really put that together except for Will.  There is much rejoicing by James, who is the Head of Household for the first time in his BIG BROTHER career.  Danielle kisses some major BIG BROTHER 6 ass.

ChillTown (Will & Boogie) talk about who James will nominate.  They are unsure.  Will thinks he'll nominate ChillTown.  Boogie doesn't think so.  They do agree that James is smart and whoever he does nominate, it will be a good strategic decision.

We have a montage of Chicken George being the “Alice” (from the Brady Bunch) of the BIG BROTHER house.  He cleans, he cooks and, most importantly, he eavesdrops.  George admits to this in the Diary Room.  James is onto George's spying, however.

James enters the new Head of Household room and, since it changes for every guest, it has been tailored for James.  He has pictures of his girlfriend, Sara, who was a contestant on BIG BROTHER 6 with him.  Howie can't stop talking about how hot Sarah is.  He's right, though.  She is hot.  The Season Sixers discuss nominations.  They all agree that they're scared of Jase,  and also throw out George's name as a possible nominee.

A regrettable segment about Boogie's workouts is shown.  Mostly, it's Mike checking himself out in the mirror, making bad jokes or genuinely admiring himself.  Definite filler material.

Dr. Will whines constantly, complaining about every little thing around the house and generally shit-talking the whole BIG BROTHER experience.  He's really starting to get on the nerves of the BIG BROTHER HouseGuests, but he admits in the Diary Room that it is all a ploy to make everyone as miserable as possible.  I'm not sure why pissing everyone off is helpful strategically, but I think it's funny, so keep it up Will.

Will visits James in the Head of Household room.  He discusses nominating Will as a pawn, saying he would only nominate him if he knew there were enough votes to save him.  James tells him that he knows that out of the four in the BIG BROTHER Sixers, he'll be the first to go.  They end up setting a kind of vague alliance, which is likely total BS.  James continues to bring up HouseGuests one at a time to the Head of Household room to discuss nominations.  Erika and Marcellas think Chicken George needs to go.  Danielle thinks Jase is too dangerous to stay.

Jase, meanwhile, seems to be going insane, as evidenced by the disturbing innertube song he serenades the backyard with while wearing a pink innertube around his neck.  Even Howie was disgusted by it.

A long segment on the BIG BROTHER slop informs us all, once again, that the slop tastes like crap.

The food competition commences and it involves six bowling balls, and a huge, probably 10x20 foot board with various holes in it.  With a long stick, teams of two have to attempt to maneuver the bowling ball through the labyrinth of holes while they make their way to the top of the board.  If they get all the way to the top, the partners receive a catered feast on their respective day.  Each couple is playing for eating privileges on a different day of the week.  Although it looks fairly difficult, the BIG BROTHER 7: ALL-STARS have no problem with it, four of the six days receiving the feast, the other two getting at least something other than slop.

Boogie continues being an absolute weirdo, talking in a demented fashion in his sleep.  Everyone in his bedroom is disturbed, and Mike admits to having been a chronic sleep-talker for years.

Nomination time.  Surprisingly, to me at least, Jase isn't nominated.  That means it is Chicken George and Will.  If we are to believe Will's conversation with James earlier in the episode, than James has nominated Will as a pawn, just someone to put up against George while he is eliminated.  However, I suspect that once Will is up there, James and the other Season Sixers will be more than tempted to eliminate him from the game.
