Episode Overview: On the first live eviction show, one BIG BROTHER HouseGuest leaves and a new Head of Household challenge is conducted.
Recap:
The first live eviction show of the season begins with Julie Chen standing in the garden, where she will spend the rest of the night. Before we get to any live interviews, Julie introduces some clips that lead up to the eviction voting. In the Diary Room, Danielle and Alison (the two nominees) have very different outlooks on the voting. Alison calls herself a “vengeful bitch” and proclaims that if she doesn't get voted off, she will be an absolute force to be reckoned with. I don't get this. Simply saying you're a huge threat doesn't make it true, especially when your pretty much universally despised in the house. Danielle, on the other hand, is calm about her possible eviction, saying nice things, not calling anyone out. However, she does start crying (with some soothing Guitar music in the background) and lamenting her nomination. She doesn't like it, apparently.
In the Head of Household room, Erika and Marcellas have the same should-we-vote-out-Alison-or-Danielle conversation we witnessed last episode.
Julie conducts some sufficiently awkward live interviews with Will and Howie regarding their, ahem, interesting relationship. Before a commercial, we see Diane cast her vote to evict Danielle.
Next, a feature on Jase and how he has matured since BIG BROTHER 5. What do we learn? That Jase has matured because he is a family man now. In his live interview, his “maturity” credibility is severely lessened when we actually see Jase. He is wearing this ridiculous tie and his hair is spiked in an incredibly silly way. He looks like he's touring with Blink-182.
The Janelle live interview is bland and uninteresting, the only juicy nugget of info is the easily assumed fact that, of her fellow BIG BROTHER Sixers, she trusts James the least.
Now we get our feature on Alison, including taped interviews with both Justin Giovinco, her ex-boyfriend from BIG BROTHER 4, and her current flame, a young doctor named Jason. Justin begins by calling Alison a true all-star, but then summarily rips her to shreds, calling Alison out for flirting with everybody during her season, at one point having been in the beds of every single male HouseGuest. Dr. Jason, on the other hand, is delusional about the unique brand of crazy that Alison provides. He says that she got a bad rep as a flirt and then drops the bomb of bombs on the national audience. He claims that yes, he could definitely see Alison as the next President of the United States. What the hell? Poor guy, I hope he hasn't been paying attention to the live feeds over the last few days, when Alison has been observed popping Xanax and hiding in large pot for hours on end. Presidential material, for sure.
Before the voting results are announced, we get live interviews with the nominees. Alison is diplomatic, thanking everyone for the opportunity that has been provided. Danielle is her typically humble self. Julie announces that Alison has been evicted from BIG BROTHER 7: All-Stars by a vote of 8-2. This is somewhat of a surprise, not the outcome, but the wide margin. All week, it had seemed the vote would be close, maybe even a tie. Not to be, it seems. Danielle thanks everyone.
Now with Julie in the garden, Alison gets a chance to hear Mrs. Chen spout different quotes from Alison about Janelle, most of them involving her calling Janelle fat in some way. Alison apologizes for saying such horrendous things and says she's embarrassed. Sure.
The Head of Household challenge takes place in the backyard and is called “Alison Rules”. This week, we are going back to only one Head of Household, which is a little disappointing; the two Heads of Household was an interesting twist. Anyway, during the commercial break, Alison filled out a number of True/False questions regarding her strategy and how she feels about the other BIG BROTHER HouseGuests. The competitors have to answer what they think Alison answered. At the end, with only Nakomis and Kaysar left, Kaysar wins. However, Julie, being her usual overwhelmed self, mistakenly identifies Nakomis as the winner. She quickly realizes her mistake, but, for a second, it got kind of awkward.
(Okay, I know Julie Chen is the wife of CBS President Lex Moonves, but she really needs to go. She is obviously out of her league here and anytime she's on live, it is irrefutably uncomfortable. Can't she “contract polio” or “get pregnant” or “lose an arm”? Anything will do. Also, how much money would it take to get Jeff Probst to host BIG BROTHER on top of Survivor? Whatever that number is, Jeff, it'd be worth it.)
Kaysar tries to get excited after the win, but he looks tired. Really tired. Nonetheless, having another BIG BROTHER 6 alumni as Head of Household makes the game very interesting, setting up an extremely important Power of Veto competition. If the Sixers remain intact for another week, watch out.
