Everyone is up at by 11am. While the other houseguests are primping, eating and engaging in general chitchat, Parker and Joshuah are having a discussion about Sharon. Parker tries to explain to Joshuah that he knows Sharon doesn’t trust him anymore because he and Jen voted her and Jacob out so she has no reason to trust him now. Joshuah says, “You f*cked Sharon over once and I wouldn't think you'd want to f*ck her over again.” He also tells Joshuah that he is no longer in an alliance with Alex and Amanda and that he is a genuine person and he promises never to do what he did to Sharon and Jacob again. Joshuah tells him he’ll take that into consideration.
Most of the houseguests are still asleep at 1pm except for Parker, Sheila, Matt and Alex. As for Ryan and Jen, they are making out in the bedroom. Jen is obviously frustrated because they can’t have sex so they seem to be trying under the covers. Jen suggests that they do it the shower because there’s no way the cameras can see them there, especially if they put a towel up.
At 10:40am, feeds show Parker and Matt talking about Parker’s nomination status. Parker doesn't know how to campaign, while Matt doesn’t know what to tell him. Later, James and Chelsia talk to Parker about nominations and if veto isn't used, James and Chelsia are going to vote out Parker and Jen. Sheila, who is in another room, is saying how she hates cold showers and would rather go without a bath than take a cold one.
The houseguests are still asleep at 9am except for Sheila, who is up doing her morning ritual. She eventually goes out in the backyard to go sunbathing in her bikini. An hour later, the rest of the houseguests join her, while Jen and Amanda exchange notes about the night before. Amanda is still obviously gripping about Alex “touching her inappropriately” last night. She says that Alex stressed that if they are not going to be attached to each other in the house then they should not be allowed to be attached to anybody else in the house. She thinks Alex is jealous and likes her.
Big Brother (BB) wakes up the houseguests at 9am and calls them into the Head of Household (HoH) room for a lockdown, which seems to be over after six minutes. Feeds show some of the girls primping in the bathroom, while other houseguests are slowly gathering in the living room. They're all dressed comfortably in the shoes required by BB.
Allison hopes that if she makes it past this round, she’ll be able to switch partners with Jen. Just like Allison, Parker feels the same way as he also wants to “breakup” with his partner. At 1pm, Allison and Neil are in the kitchen talking about scenarios. An obviously bored Allison wants a food competition and she doesn’t care if she has to eat toe nails, fungus, or even male private parts.
At 8:30am, the houseguests are still asleep except for James and Sheila who have decided to wake up early to make breakfast for their respective partners. While cooking, they talk about music and the difference between living in New York and Los Angeles. Adam wakes up and Sheila tells him that they need to talk about something but they can’t talk just yet. While Adam is enjoying his food, they are whispering about the upcoming events.
Josh and Chelsia are crying about Neil being gone, while Sharon, who is now paired with Josh, is talking to Amanda and Natalie to catch up on the drama. Amanda and Natalie are also trying to turn Sharon against Allison. Amanda explains her reasons behind the nominations, though Sharon is feeling a little bit overwhelmed. Sharon is happy that she has another chance without Jacob but is still mad at Parker for getting rid of her instead of Adam and Sheila. Sharon is absorbing all the information and putting the pieces of the puzzle together about Ryan and Jen. While Amanda and Natalie are taking Sharon under their wing, Joshua is being called to the Diary Room (DR).
Feeds are back at 4:50pm and finds Jen, Parker, Allison, and Ryan up for nomination. Amanda, Jen and Parker are in the Head of Household (HoH) room. Amanda says if she gets Power of Veto (PoV), Jen and Parker will be taken off. Matt comes in the room, telling Parker and Jen that they have his vote to stay. He also has no worries that Ryan and Allison are leaving and tells Jen to be "fake nice."
At 6am, houseguests (HG) are still sleeping except for Jen who is bothered by Parker’s incredibly loud snoring. She tries to quite him down by saying “Shhhh” but to no avail. Sheila eventually gets up and starts doing her morning rituals, going to the shower, brushing her teeth, and putting on make up. Acting like a real mom, she heads to the kitchen to do some dishes.
Guinea pigs that have just been fed in a cage are seen before the Big Brother 9 live feeds kicked into full swing around 9pm. Jen and Parker are having a heated discussion about voting her boyfriend out of the house. She told him that her relationship with him is not worth $500,000. Jen is in the Head of Household (HoH) room talking about her boyfriend Ryan. The houseguests (HG) obviously know about her relationship with Ryan since Amanda, Parker, Natalie, Matt, and Alex are also in the HoH room, and it’s causing friction between Jen and her partner, Parker.
DIck and Daniele Donato will go down as one of the most infamous pairs to ever grace the world of reality TV. The Big Brother 8 champion (Dick) and runner-up (Daniele) made their share of enemies along the way with an aggressive style of play, but it all worked out in the end when the father/daughter duo found themselves alone in the Big Brother house, having vanquished 12 other houseguests. Earlier today, on their first day of freedom in months, we were lucky enough to speak with Dick and Daniele to discuss their season of Big Brother domination. The Donato haters of the world may not want to read much further, for the pair are as outspoken and brash here as they had been throughout the Big Brother season.
I'm not surprised that Dick won, or even the vote. After listening to them discuss the jury questioning, I pretty much figured out the winner. I was looking forward to this show only for the America's Player reveal and to see the jury. In that, I guess I was a little disappointed. They wasted 20 minutes on nothing, and the reveal felt rushed.
While Dick and Daniele carry on with their card game, they also continue with their favorite pastime of reminiscing and bashing the other evicted houseguests (HG). At some point, Daniele wonders what Jameka’s diary room (DR) session must have been like after she called Dick’s mother a b*tch. She seems to think that Jameka probably apologized and explained that she had gotten so worked up and lost all control of her mouth and her temper.
A few minutes past 3pm, Daniele tells her dad that she wants her dinner (at three in the afternoon?). Dick, in turn, asks her to help him color his hair in 10 minutes. He assures her that it’s easy and they have more than enough supply of the hair dye. She wonders if he’d like to play checkers. Dick responds that she’s going to do his hair in five minutes and then he’ll play checkers with her later.
At midnight, Daniele says “I’m here, let’s get this party started” as she emerges from a trip to the diary room (DR). One of the production guys (PG) can be heard apologizing for the choices (?) that are so bad, saying that it’s all they’ve got. Dick mumbles something inaudible and the PG responds that it’s not like he can just run down to Blockbuster. Daniele tells him sure, he can, to which, the PG says, “Well if I could leave..,” before feeds revert to trivia for the next three and a half hours.
About a week before the premiere of Big Brother 8, I wrote a two-part article entitled Big Brother 8: Totally Superficial Predictions. In this article I predicted the order of eviction for all fourteen houseguests with only a picture and short bio for each person. Needless to say, most of my predictions were off-base. But, now that we're one day away from the Big Brother 8 finale, I thought it'd be fun to take a look back and see what my best and worst preseason predictions were.
Feeds revert to trivia shortly after midnight as the jury members take turns grilling Dick and Daniele. When feeds return a little after 1:30am, Daniele is in the bathroom while Dick is outside, smoking and saying, “I don't think I did anything wrong. It's not like I was campaigning to beat her. I didn't think I could win or make her happy with anything I did or said. Great! Something else for her to be pissed of at me about. Unbelievable. How did I not know she would be pissed off at me? No winning, no winning, it's always a catch-22 with Daniele."
Just before 11pm, Dick decides that his swollen feet and aching legs need a dip in the hot tub. Daniele has long been in bed, claiming she’s not feeling well. While soaking in the soothing water of the pool/tub, Dick looks into the camera and wonders, “Do you think I have a snowball’s chance in hell with Janelle? I sure hope so." Then he gives a shout-out to his son Vincent, saying, "I wonder who will win the game...one thing’s for sure, it will be a Donato! You hear that Vincent? If you're watching, I want you to know I love you and miss you. I can't wait to see you."
Just before five in the afternoon, Daniele heads to the backyard to join her father after her session in the diary room (DR). They start off, discussing what past houseguests (HG) from previous seasons may have thought of Jen. Dick believes they would have voted her out sooner than their group did. Daniele remarks that it would have been nice to have the Diamond Veto. Dick comments that this is the first year that Big Brother (BB) has failed to add something new. Daniele thinks it’s because there was too much drama in the house.
At a quarter to 10 in the morning, a loud crash shatters the silence of sleep prevailing over the Big Brother (BB) house that has become somewhat of a ghost home with only the Donatos left in it. Seems like someone in the production crew may have fallen so Dick asks whether they are alright. The unexpected noise effectively rouses Dick from his sleep and he decides to give the game solitaire a whirl. The camera is practically glued to him despite his repeated admonitions for them to leave him alone. Dick realizes the crew must be really bored now that they’re stuck with nobody else but him.
At a quarter past midnight, Daniele is busy collecting her dirty laundry from around the house. She and her dad head outside so she can wash them but she winds up complaining about the stinky dryer which has fouled up because they had dried their shoes in there after the endurance test yesterday, without washing them first. Dick is stressed as he feels the pressure of tomorrow’s question and answer contest. He starts reviewing the jury people and their jobs, educational backgrounds and other such pieces of trivia. Daniele does her best to drill him on various biographical questions.
Big Brother got its fairy tale ending. The tale began with Dick revealing that Daniele's favorite fairy tale was “Alice in Wonderland” and that she played Alice. And it's ending with CBS darlings, Dick and Daniele, in the final two of Big Brother 8.
Here we are, the last hurdle before the final vote on Big Brother 8. Though they've already been played and live feeds have spoiled the results, we'll get to see the first two parts of the final Head of Household competition and discover the winners, who will compete live tonight in the final competition to decide who is the last HoH, then we'll get to see that person decide who is being evicted, and who is the other person going to the final two.
One of the reasons that I'd never go on a show like Big Brother is because of the lack of outside stimulation. I'm very dependent on my newspaper, television, Internet, novels, etc. Trying to watch the feeds the past couple of days has reinforced my feelings. The three remaining houseguests were given a deck of cards, woo hoo! Dick and Daniele have been monopolizing the cards playing War, a two person game. Zach has asked to play another game, but was rebuffed. With Dick and Daniele virtually ignoring him, Zach has been bored to tears. I've never seen him sleep or lay around in his bed like I have lately. I'm sure a psychiatrist would have a field day with that.
At 2pm, feeds come back from trivia and find all three houseguests (HG) suddenly up. It seems likely that Big Brother (BB) must have given them their wake-up call for the day. Zach is dressing up in the bedroom while Dick and Daniele are in the bathroom. Daniele asks him if he’s ready for the second Head of Household (HoH) contest. Dick tells her he’s ready as he’ll ever be considering that his right shoulder is practically non-existent. Nevertheless, he tells her that a handful of Advil and Excedrin along with a slather of Ben-Gay will take him a long way.
As soon as Dick releases his key, he crumples to the floor even as Zach continues to stand solidly on his stump. Daniele proceeds to cover her dad with towels before handing one to Zach, who is now helping her wrap Dick up. Zach tells Dick his effort was incredible.
By midnight, Dick has once again slowed down his footwork. He has also nearly lost his balance twice. He is trying to hold the key as far away from the downpour as his arm will let him. His breathing is now labored as he alternates between standing still and marching with big, high steps on the stump. Across from him, Zach remains still, steady, stoic and silent.
Tonight, part two of the three-part final Head of Household competition was held in the Big Brother 8 house. Part 1 began on Tuesday's show, and the results left everyone's tongues wagging. Though the live feeds were blacked out during the second competition, discussions afterwards revealed which of the remaining two houseguests one, setting up an epic showdown on tomorrow night's live show to determine who will be the final Head of Household, who will be the final person sent to the jury house, and who will be in the final two for a shot at half a million dollars. The stakes can't get any higher.
At 10:30pm, while Dick and Zach are still hanging on to their keys and standing atop their podiums, Daniele apologizes to Dick, who tells her not to be sorry. Dick remarks that it’s bullsh*t that that thing had to slow down just as she was preparing to jump over it (he must be referring to the recurring rabbit). Then he tells her not to look because he’s going to take a piss and pee down his leg. Thankfully, Big Brother (BB) brings the rain back on to wash away Dick’s urine.
When feeds resume a little after half past 7pm, we get a really good, if not slightly horrifying view of what the last three houseguests (HGs) have to undergo for the first of the Head of Household (HoH) endurance tests. Each HG is perched on a stump, holding on to their key, which is suspended above them. As they try to maintain their grip on the key and their balance on the podium, they are also drenched in a downpour of heavy rain. As if that wasn’t bad enough, a mechanical rabbit emerges regularly to pass them and they must hop over it and land back on their perches.
Big Brother 8 is down to the final three. Dick, Daniele and Zach are currently in the midst of a three-part final Head of Household competition that will ultimately decide who makes it to the final two. The uncertainty of who the final two will be is simpler than it has been in previous seasons because of the father/daughter alliance of Dick and Daniele. If either of the Donatos win the HoH, they will take the other to the final vote. If Zach wins the HoH, everyone assumes that he'll take Dick with him to the final vote, but I don't think that's a foregone conclusion. I wouldn't put it past Zach to bring Daniele into the finals, if only to avoid a few days of verbal lashings from Dick. It's also quite possible that Zach will figure that the Donatos are interchangeable in terms of final jury votes. With all this mind, let's take a look at who would win the jury vote in each of the three possible final two combinations.
At 4:20am, Dick is up and so is Daniele. They are in the kitchen where Dick gets a drink from the refrigerator and is assaulted by an overwhelmingly foul smell. He announces that it’s from his tuna sandwich. He adds that his farts have gotten so bad from all the tuna he’s eaten that they managed to rouse Jameka up all the way in the tall beds room. He tells Daniele that when he got up, Jameka was awake and had been to the diary room (DR) to ask for a medic for him because his farts are so strong.
At 1am, as they prepare for bed, Dick fills Daniele in on his plan for the two of them to take large trash bags and put them on just before the start of the competition. They figure, what can the production people do anyway even if they wear them over their clothes at the last minute.
Shortly after 1pm, Jameka appears to be the first houseguest (HG) to rise for the day. She uses a flashlight to grab her clothes and head for the bathroom. Daniele asks her what time it is and Jameka responds that she has no clue. Daniele follows suit and gets up herself. Zach wakes up at 1:30pm and proceeds outdoors. He greets Daniele good morning but Daniele simply ignores him.
When feeds resume around 4:30pm, Dick is hollering in his round beds room, screaming YES! Jameka asks Daniele in the kitchen how it feels, but Daniele declines to talk about it with her, saying she’ll (Jameka) only feel bad. She proceeds to her dad’s room where they enthusiastically tell each other that Vincent and Nick must be so happy right now. Dick even goes as far as to say that they have won the money and the game. From all accounts, it appears Daniele has won the Power of Veto (PoV).
Zach emerges from his Head of Household (HoH) hidey hole a little after 10am and goes downstairs to tell Jameka that he has a few questions and would like to speak with her upstairs. Jameka replies that she will follow in a few minutes. In the bathroom, Dick asks Daniele where the “pervert panty muncher” (referring to Zach, also known as the ogre or Shrek) is. Daniele tells him he is hiding in his HoH domain. Dick confides that he was told in the diary room (DR) not to use the “N” racist word when he attacks Zach. Earlier, Dick had mentioned on camera that he plans on calling Zach out as a racist, using statement/s he claims Zach has previously made to support his name-calling. He had also warned the camera folks not to keep following him around or the feeds will be riddled with the racist comment accusation thing.
Feeds resume around 5:45pm with Dick, Jameka and Daniele in the kitchen. Dick says it’s a load of bullsh*t and that they should have kept Amber. Jameka walks out on them. Dick goes on to say that Zach is living in a dream world if he thinks that he and Jameka will make the final two. He adds that it’s bullsh*t for Zach to claim that he wants to build a personal relationship with Jameka. Daniele remarks that it’s becoming funnier and funnier each time they get nominated. Apparently, Zach stated in his nomination speech that Dick and Daniele have dominated the game so far and now it is time for someone else to get a chance.
Around half past 10am, Dick and Zach are awake and Dick asks Zach to please not put him up on the block against Daniele. Zach responds that it doesn’t matter. Dick points out that it does because of whoever wins the Power of Veto (PoV). Zach sees his point.
Shortly after midnight, Zach goes over his letter again while having a beer. He looks at the camera and says if the internet people are watching, he has won the Head of Household (HoH) and promises to do them proud. He mentions that his dad told him in the letter that he should finish with honor. Zach assures him that he will. He adds that there is no such thing as luck.
At 9pm, the live feeds return after SEVEN HOURS of trivia. Zach is wearing a crown while he and Dick commend Daniele for a job well done. Big Brother (BB) announces an indoor lockdown.
Shortly after midnight, Dick tells Daniele that he’s going to come up to Jameka at the very last minute to ask for her answer to the deal he has offered. He and Daniele ponder the time they usually get called in to the set for the live show. They note that last week, they were asked to sit on the couches mere minutes before 5pm. Dick figures he should take Jameka aside some time around 4:35 and 4:40. He wants to do it at the latest possible time so Jameka won’t have the chance to confer with Jessica.
At a quarter to 2pm, Big Brother (BB) enforces an indoor lockdown. Sometime between 2:30pm and 3:30pm, Zach goes around taking his Head of Household (HoH) pics with the other houeguests (HG). Dick poses with the HoH crown that Dustin wore and Zach barks “Silence” in much the same way Dustin did. When Zach reviews the photos they’ve taken, he comments that he and Dick look like they have to take a sh*t in one of them. He also notices one of Eric where Eric doesn’t’ even resemble himself because he looks like a monkey.
At half past midnight, Jessica, Eric and Jameka are in the backyard comparing butt crack heights. According to Jameka, Tyra Banks says there are two types of cracks. Those who possess a low crack have the license to wear low-rider and hip-hugger jeans but those with high cracks should not.
Around 5pm, fresh from a visit to the diary room (DR), Daniele goes to wake her father up. She tells him about the slip she made during an earlier conversation with Jessica. Daniele had inadvertently mentioned that only three of them will be fighting for the Head of Household (HoH) this week. She also relays Eric’s “personal level” inquiry regarding Jessica’s fate. Daniele brings up how Jameka is getting on her nerves. Daniele tells her dad, “You should have seen her after you talked to her, throwing and slamming stuff around." Dick in turn tells her about Jessica wondering who she wants sleeping in her room next week. Dick points out that Jessica’s comment brought Jameka to tears.
It’s midnight in the Big Brother (BB) house and Jessica and Eric are smooching and canoodling on the bathroom couch while Jameka works out alone in the gym.
At half past noon, Dick asks Jameka for a few minutes of her time so they could talk outside. Right up front he tells her that he and Daniele have decided to send her to the jury house. He mentions that they have also chosen to give her ample warning and tell her ahead of time. He explains that someone has to go this week and cites that she’s in good terms with both the jury people and the remaining houseguests (HG). Dick concludes that it is in his and Daniele’s best interest not to keep her around.
At 8:30am, everyone appears to be asleep save for Jessica and Eric. They are shacked up in the same bed, smooching. After going at it for some time, Eric finally moves to his own bed.
At half past one in the morning, Eric emerges from the diary room (DR) and it soon becomes evident that America has tasked him to imitate Dick. He pretends to smoke like Dick by holding an unlit cigarette. He also laughs like Dick and repeats every word Dick utters. Eric warns Dick to expect more of this, saying he’s getting back at him for the times Dick covered him with flour and threw cold water on him in the shower. Jessica is puzzled. She finds it weird that Eric has chosen to do this now and wonders what could have prompted him.
At 3pm, Big Brother (BB) announces: “Good morning (?) houseguests (HG), it’s time to get up for the day.” Zach and Daniele have already been awake for a few hours but all the others are still in their bunkers.
At a quarter to 8am, everyone in the Big Brother (BB) house is asleep except for Dick, who has taken to dressing up one of the human/animal-like topiaries. It now sports a bikini/toga something, yellow sunglasses, flowers and the all-important raised middle finger. Content with his styling, Dick heads to the kitchen to straighten up a bit. He picks up a couple of pans and says a brief homage to that morning when he woke Dustin up by banging and clanging some of them. After brief stops in the bathroom and the diary room (DR), Dick goes outside to the backyard to belch and tell a hummingbird that there is no nectar in the plastic flowers.
By midnight, Dick and Zach have abandoned Eric, Jessica and Jameka who are still playing the rule game and painting themselves. The two are now engaged in more pressing game talk, with Dick stating that he wants to strike a last minute deal with Jameka on Thursday. He plans on getting her to swear on her Bible that she will use the Power of Veto (PoV) on Dick or Daniele if they go up next week. If Jameka does this, Dick will help guarantee that she stays in the game. A bit later, Eric asks Dick if he thinks that his Big Brother (BB) moniker ED (for Evil Dick) would earn him a lucrative contract as endorser for commercials concerning erectile dysfunction. Dick certainly hopes not.
At a little after 9:30pm, the houseguests (HG) start playing spin the bottle. Some of the questions and answers include the following:
At 1:30pm, Dick is up and smoking outside while everyone else continues to slumber. Dick returns to bed 15 minutes later. At 2pm, Zach is swimming in the pool as all the other houseguests (HG) remain asleep. Dick joins him in the backyard half an hour later and they go over their choices of who to send home this week. They agree that if they evict Jessica now, they have no other recourse but to get rid of Eric next. Dick remarks that that would put them in the final four with Daniele and Jameka. Dick asks Zach whether he’d be afraid of Jameka. Zach replies yes but in a physical contest, states that he wouldn’t. Zach admits that the more he ponders things, the clearer it seems to him that Jessica should be the one to leave this week. Dick feels that Jessica and Jameka are the biggest threats in the game. Zach declares that he can’t have Jameka in the competition. Dick stresses that he prefers to eliminate Eric next week because if the three of them together can’t manage to dump Jameka in the last four then they deserve to lose the contest.
In the tall beds room, Eric keeps lamenting to Jessica how regrettable his performance was during the Power of Veto (PoV) competition. He admits that it sucks that Jameka has to go because she infuses positive energy into the house but states that their a*ses are on the line and their hands are tied. He expresses frustration that he can’t use his intelligence to do better and remedy things for them. He suggests that they contemplate throwing the Head of Household (HoH) contest this week if they can be certain that Dick and Daniele will evict Zach next. Jessica is unwilling to throw anything. They finish their discussion and agree to get food downstairs.
At a quarter past midnight, feeds revert to trivia and stay that way for … the next THREE HOURS as, surprise, surprise, the three-hour Power of Veto (PoV) competition is held at the ungodliest of hours. When feeds finally resume at 3:30am, Eric is consoling Jessica, Jameka is expressing frustration at how difficult it was and Jessica is worrying that someone will attempt to back door Eric. Jessica states that she is “sick to her stomach because her worst fear has come true.” She adds that she deeply regrets that she didn’t take the opportunity she had to get rid of Dick and Daniele much earlier.
A few minutes before 4pm, Jameka speaks with Zach in the storage room (SR), telling him that she realizes that he probably has his mind made up and she respects that. Zach admits that he is worried about the next week when he’ll be vulnerable and how much it sucks that he’s been on his own all throughout. He tells Jameka that he respects her for coming to him. She confesses that she has never been the type to tell people what to do and she is not about to start now. Jameka thanks Zach for his time.
By 10am, Big Brother (BB) makes the announcement for the houseguests (HG) to get up for the day. A lockdown is enforced in the Head of Household (HoH) room 30 minutes later but is quickly lifted another half hour later. At 11:30am, the diary room (DR) informs Jessica that she will be getting her phone call in 45 minutes. The call comes through shortly after noon.
It’s a little after midnight in the Head of Household (HoH) room, where Daniele is keeping the newly triumphant Zach company in his quarters. Their conversation focuses on Dick and his less than subtle game tactics. Zach wishes for more game security from Dick and Daniele and informs Daniele that he has no plans of putting her up because he has considered her his biggest since Nick got evicted.
By 7:30pm, Dick, Zach, Eric and Daniele are still fighting it out to become the next Head of Household (HoH). Not sure whether Big Brother (BB) was trying to make it easier or more difficult for them to complete their task, but they have now been handed three cups for transporting the color coordinated liquid required to fill the giant glass teacups. Eric’s water is orange, Zach’s is red, Dick’s is purple and Daniele’s is turquoise. By 7:45, Zach appears to have a slight lead over Daniele, which he quickly widens in the next several minutes. Just before 8pm, Zach finally emerges as the new HoH!
At 10:20am, the houseguests (HG) start doing their individual bits for the weekly housecleaning. Jameka and Amber are tackling the bathroom, Dick is engaged in his usual vacuuming assignment and Daniele is tending to the kitchen. By 10:45am, the lockdown is enforced in the Head of Household (HoH) room. Before going upstairs, Dick starts harassing Zach, telling him to get his stories straightened out and calling him out for turning on them. Twenty minutes later, all the HGs are asleep in their own corner of the HoH quarters except for Zach and Daniele. By noon, the HoH lockdown is finally lifted.
It’s midnight in the Big Brother (BB) house and the houseguests (HG) can finally see out the back door but are still banned from going out. It seems that the indoor lockdown which began around 6pm and was expected to last for six hours is not yet over. Daniele, Zach and Eric try to check out the scene through the sliding glass doors.
After dinner, the houseguests (HG) engage in leisurely conversation when Jameka starts singing a commercial jingle. Dick mutters that they’re “gonna get it for a stupid commercial.” Right on cue, Big Brother (BB) says over the speaker, “Please stop um…” before trailing off. The HGs snicker at BB cutting himself off and Eric comments that he sounds like something that has failing batteries and is about ready to cry.
At a quarter to go before noon, Big Brother (BB) announces to the houseguests (HG) that it is time to wake up for the day.
By 5:30 in the morning, Eric and Jessica finally turn off the lights in the Head of Household (HoH) room. In the kitchen, Amber and Daniele are talking about guys and their respective types. Back in the HoH quarters, Eric tells Jessica that she’s cute and Jessica responds that Eric is pretty cute as well. She tells him that his kisses are precious, then goes on to call him her precious little baby. They start kissing and continue to do so for a long spell. When they pull apart, Jessica tells him that she really likes kissing him and the two of them go at it again. Eric tells her he can’t stop. Jessica says that it’s hot. Eric gets up to turn on the air conditioner.
Still in the Head of Household (HoH) room, Jessica, Eric and Jameka carry on with their conversation about Amber and Daniele’s turn on Power of 10. Eric asks them how they feel about Nick being in attendance at the show and Jameka replies that it is very clear that Chris and Daniele are now over. Eric mentions that he spoke to Daniele about Nick and she is happy that things between her and Chris have come to an end. Suddenly, Zach comes up to tell them that Dick fell in the pool while playing a game of golf. Dick is soon up there as well to give his own account of what happened. The conversation then reverts back to the Power of 10 and Dick expresses his disbelief that Amber beat his daughter.
The houseguests (HG) carry on with their chandelier game past midnight. Another rule has come up requiring the guys to go to the memory wall, make three pelvic thrusts and utter “You make my d*ck so hard.” Some time later, the men finally win a round and get back at the girls. They instruct the ladies to go to the bathroom, remove their panties and wear them on their heads for the rest of the game.
Dick informs Amber that there has been no group discussion about who to evict this week. He states that he remains undecided about his choice but notes that it will depend on who he discovers has been talking to Jessica about nominating him and Daniele. He adds that everyone turned on them because of Dustin and Amber. Amber admits that she has learned her lesson. She realizes that Dustin managed to influence her. Dustin pushed her to keep Eric. Eric convinced her to turn on Nick.
It’s noon at the Big Brother (BB) house and BB has just informed the houseguests (HG) that it is time to get up for the day. Dick and Zach are in the backyard 15 minutes later, with Zach telling Dick that BB woke him up at 7am.
At a quarter past 4pm, Daniele is with Dick and Zach outside, when she announces to the camera that she needs a new car in case anyone in America would like to buy her one. Zach and Dick are shocked to hear this, with Zach asking if she’s really one of those people and Dick remarking that her request was very Jen-like. Zach tells them that he was thinking just that and Daniele snaps at Zach by saying that that his scent is very Jen-like. She adds that she’s sorry she’s the only one with a sense of humor before heading inside.
Just before 10am, the houseguests (HGs) are awake and going about their individual morning routines. Eric and Jessica are talking in bed up in the Head of Household (HoH) room, where Jessica confesses that Jameka had wanted to tell her something earlier that morning. Eric isn’t thrilled with that admission but the two are forced to separate and finish their morning rituals before they can discuss it any further. As if on cue, Jameka comes up to the HoH quarters to speak with Jessica, who is in the shower. She proceeds to fill Jessica in on the conversation Eric had with Amber yesterday. She also mentions that Eric really wanted to win HoH but he probably would have received a picture of his girlfriend if he had won it and that would have been a sticky thing for Eric to have to explain. Jameka also tells her about Amber’s question regarding whether Eric wouldn’t prefer to be standing next to good people in the end. Jameka waits on Jessica and paces around the bathroom, looking almost like a stalker raring to pounce on her prey. She goes on to pick things up in the room, straighten it up and put random things away. She continues tidying up until Jessica emerges from her shower, and Jameka carries on with planting seeds of doubt in Jessica’s mind about Eric.
The houseguests (HGs) had been playing the Zuma Zuma game before eventually changing it to quarters. Unfortunately, they could only find one quarter and one nickel, so they begged Big Brother (BB) to provide them with another nickel. Daniele even went into the diary room (DR) to ask for one, but she was simply told that they would check into it. The HGs kept going back and forth to the storage room (SR) to see whether BB had come through for them. They eventually get bored from waiting for the all important nickel and joke about summoning an executive producer to procure it.
By 7pm, the houseguests (HGs) decide to make tacos for dinner, with Jessica and Jameka collecting the ingredients from the storage room (SR). The others are already in the kitchen, where Zach is dutifully chopping the onions. Half an hour later, everyone but Amber is all set to eat. Jameka asks what other circumstance could there possibly be apart from Big Brother (BB), for all of them to be in a house, cooking together. Not surprisingly, Dick replies, a nuclear holocaust.
After the almost two-hours-in-the-making first kiss between Jessica and Eric, Jessica tells him that he’s a really good kisser. Eric jests that he should have used mouthwash, not once, not twice but three times. He goes on to explain his entire thought process leading up to the kiss. Jessica comments that he thinks too much. Eric asks her what SHE is thinking right now. Jessica responds that she’s thinking she enjoyed kissing him. Eric confesses that he knew he couldn’t wait until day 69. He also admits that it was awkward, fumbling and stumbling. Jessica pipes in that it worked out. Eric tells her that he’s wanted to do that for some time. He claims that he’s not worried about what viewers would think because he knows the audience thinks they’re cute together. Eric points out that she was laying in bed so stiffly that it seemed as if she was saying that if he wants to kiss her, he’d have to take the plunge and go for it. Jessica confirms his theory before Eric goes on to tell her that he wasn’t sure if that was really the case or whether she wanted him to stop touching her. He promises not to take as long the next time around.
By midnight, the hot tub session is over and the houseguests (HGs) go off in several groups to shower, confer or huddle. Dick and Daniele choose to remain outdoors, where Dick states that they are in for a long remainder of the week. He asks Daniele, who didn’t join them in the tub earlier, if anything is wrong. She tells him that she is bored, sick and tired of everyone. She launches into whining about how fake and rude the others have been and Dick agrees that the week has been engulfed in fakeness. He adds that Jameka is driving him up the wall with her phoniness.
It’s 10am and the houseguests (HGs) are up and getting ready to pick the players for the upcoming veto competition. Nearly an hour and a half later, we find out that Dick is hosting the tournament and everybody else will be playing. At close to half past noon, feeds revert to trivia for the duration of the veto contest and return around two hours later.
It’s 5am in the Big Brother (BB) house and Eric is in the Head of Household (HoH) room where he’s confiding to Jessica about his ex/current (?) girlfriend. He admits that they have been through a lot together but it doesn’t look like they will continue as a couple. He further admits that he didn’t count on developing feelings for someone inside the BB house. Jessica confesses that she too, didn’t think she would fall for a fellow houseguest (HG) and admits that she has grown fond of him as well. Eric goes on to say that he never thought he would get over his girlfriend cheating on him. He uses this opportunity to explain that he wasn’t cheating on her when he began to like Jessica because he and his then girlfriend did not have a commitment when he came into BB. He claims that he had told her that he’d be gone for three months and that they would see where they stood after that time, when he gets out of the house.
The houseguests (HG) get their wake-up call around 10am and everyone prepares for the upcoming food competition. Jameka weighs herself and finds out that she’s now six pounds lighter. Daniele remarks to Amber that both of her alliances, Jen and Dustin, are now gone from Big Brother (BB). Amber gets a bowl of cereal and Daniele says, “Thanks Amber, I was thinking about having a bowl of those and now I have to." Amber spins around and snaps back with "Shut your face you little sh*t!" A shocked Daniele replies with “That was rude.”
It’s midnight in the Big Brother (BB) house, just hours after sultry Jen got booted out by a unanimous count. All the remaining houseguests (HGs) except for Amber and Daniele are up in the Head of Household (HoH) room, discussing the latest HoH competition and carrying on with more Jen bashing. Perhaps appropriately, considering the resoundingly apparent collective house sentiment, the conversation drifts to the subject of defecation and the many colorful ways of describing feces, such as poop, caca and made in your pants.
When feeds resume at 6pm, Jessica announces that everyone is invited to sleep with her. Hmmmm? The houseguests (HGs) are rehashing the questions from the just-concluded Head of Household (HoH) competition. Jess mentions that blonde is a lucky color. It’s becoming clear that she’s the new HoH. At some point, Eric states that it’s not their fault that Jen basically set herself on fire. He adds that it was obvious how far removed from the truth her perception was that her behavior in the house was alright. Dick agrees that she’s in for a surprise once she gets back out. Dick also cracks up that Jen got evicted by a vote of 6-0, when only five people actually voted.
At some point in the wee hours of Thursday morning, Dick and Daniele had another round of their father-daughter squabbles. The quarrel ended with both of them storming to their respective rooms and Amber soon up to the Head of Household (HoH) to console Daniele.
Outside, Dick apologizes to Zach for his earlier tantrum. He tells Zach he’s sorry that he’s been really edgy since his argument with Daniele earlier this morning. He admits that it’s even taken the pleasure out of Jen’s impending departure. Zach remarks that it is indeed a good thing that Jen is about to leave. Dick agrees that it would be, except he can’t even manage to smile about it. Zach expresses understanding and tells Dick that he’s like his older brother. He adds that if Nick was still around, Dick would be THEIR older brother.
Just before noon, Jen decides to swim several laps while Zach soaks in the hot tub and talks to Dick. The two poke fun at Jen, with Zach remarking, “I’m going to swim 440 laps cuz I have nothing better to do,” in obvious imitation of her. Zach and Dick giggle at Zach’s impersonation. Zach declares that Jen is an idiot. Dick wonders if he’s just figuring that now. The two men giggle some more and Dick, feeling assured, says he was just checking. Dick remarks that if Jen manages to stay, he will voluntarily exit Big Brother (BB).
Daniele is pissed that her father has chosen to stash Jen’s belongings in the Head of Household (HoH) room. She doesn’t want to get dragged into the argument and wants Dick to remove the sequestered items. Dick prefers to wait until Thursday but Daniele wants him to do it immediately. Their conversation drifts to Daniele’s agenda for today and she lists writing in her blog and taking some pictures as her planned activities. Dick asks her not to take pictures of Jen and Daniele suggests they hide Jen’s make-up so she’d look awful in the photographs.
Shortly before midnight, Amber and Daniele return to the Big Brother (BB) house. Although the rest of the houseguests (HGs) are anxious to hear about their mysterious field trip, the girls don’t have the liberty of giving too many details. All they can share is that they took a private jet to the Big Apple and had to wear headphones and sunglasses.
A few minutes before half past 5pm, Zach assures Jameka that he will vote to keep her because he doesn’t approve of Jen and her rule violations. He feels that Jen has caused way too much trouble and commotion in the Big Brother (BB) house and he doesn’t appreciate it.
It’s 1:30am and Zach and Dick are in the backyard, hatching a plan for them to reach the final five. The strategy seems to be, to send Jameka home this week then throw the next Head of Household (HoH) competition to Amber, since Jen will be a sitting duck who won’t be in the HoH and Power of Veto (PoV) running because of the penalty nomination she’s been issued for violating her slop sentence. They will then evict Jen, leaving Dick, Daniele, Zach, Jessica, Eric and Amber. Amber will be next on their chopping block, leaving the five of them in the home stretch. Dick and Zach agree not to fill the others in until Wednesday night.
At a few minutes past 7:30pm, Dick, Zach, Jameka, Jessica and Eric are in the backyard talking about Jen. Jen joins them soon after, telling them that she’s all set to pack her belongings for when she leaves Big Brother (BB). Dick points out how she’s the only person who would consider packing so soon after being put on the block, as well as the only one who would think of cooking burgers while on slop. Jen says something about being bored and irrelevant before heading back inside to get a bag of clothes which she hides in the bathroom. She rejoins the group outside and asks them if they are still discussing her erratic behavior.
Shortly after midnight, Eric and Zach are both forced into provocative feminine wear, with Zach donning on Jen’s skintight unitard and Eric slipping into a pair of her skimpy bikinis. Eric keeps his back to the other houseguests (HGs), revealing his exposed butt while hiding his front parts away from their view. Zach says to Jameka, “I know I have a small penis, so what?” All Jameka can manage in response is “no, it’s OK.”
Around 6pm, Amber and Jameka are in the bedroom, where Jameka is fixing her hair and Amber is planning to talk to Daniele. An hour later, Amber finally gets some time alone with the reigning Head of Household (HoH), who offers to use the Power of Veto (PoV) on Amber if Amber promises not to put her up when it’s her turn as HoH. Amber agrees to the condition when the time comes that she manages to win HoH. Daniele asks Amber to keep their conversation confidential and vows to do the same, promising not to tell anyone, even her father.
Just before half past one in the morning, Jameka and Jessica are talking in the backyard when Jameka catches Jessica farting. She calls out to Eric about it and their conversation turns silly around Jessica’s gas passing. It then moves to their weekly Big Brother (BB) stipend of $750 which Eric thinks, adds up to about $7,000 to $9,000 for the summer. Jameka wonders whether they’ll receive it in sequester and Eric seems certain that they will.
A few minutes ahead of 7:30pm, Big Brother (BB) instructs the houseguests (HGs) to check out the storage room where they go and find their feast of Baja Fresh goodies.
An hour after feeds come back, Amber joins Jameka in the hammock and the two go over their theories following the nominations. Amber thinks that Dick, Daniele, Jessica and Eric are gunning to be the final four. She believes that Jameka is their pawn this week while she is their target to send packing (it appears that Jameka and Amber have been nominated). Neither of them have any clue as to who might get put up once the Power of Veto (PoV) is utilized but Jameka feels certain that Zach will be safe all week because he will vote however Daniele wants him to. Jameka recognizes that this is all just a game and states that “This ain’t my life.” While she vows she’s not about to give up, she also says she refuses to stress over things. She does, however, tell Amber that they are at their worst ever point in the game at the moment.
At two in the morning, just hours after Daniele once again assumed the Head of Household (HoH), Eric is up in the HoH room telling her to put Amber on the block.
By the time the live feeds resume after 6pm, Dustin’s picture is shown in black and white, which can only mean one thing – DICK GETS TO LIVE ANOTHER WEEK AND DUSTIN’S BEEN EVICTED from Big Brother (BB)!
At the ungodly hour of four in the morning, Eric and Jen are going around the Big Brother (BB) house taking random things and hiding them. Jen has a pair of faux flowers from the living room as well as an object from the bathroom, which she proceeds to stash under the cushion of the big chair there. She also has what looks like a big plastic knife which she proceeds to hide in a cabinet. Eric has something from the storage room which he places in a cabinet under the kitchen counter.
Shortly after midnight, Eric tells Jessica that he just spoke with Daniele for an hour and now he thinks that they should eliminate Dustin. Jessica says she’s aware of his meeting with Daniele and asks him why he wants to get rid of Dustin.
Shortly before 8pm, Eric and Jessica confer about Dick and Daniele’s proposition. Eric asks for Jessica’s take on the entire deal. Eric says he’s open to all sides and is willing to listen. He paints the scenario that any tie could be broken by Jessica, Zach or Jen. Whoever actually does it, the blame would still fall on him. Jessica would console Amber and Jameka while he becomes an outcast. Jessica asks him why he would even consider agreeing to the proposal anyway and Eric admits to being stressed out by the entire thing and needing to know what she thinks.
Shortly before 7pm, Dick goes up to the Head of Household (HoH) room to speak with Jessica. Dick asks her if Eric has spoken to her yet and Jessica says a little. Dick basically launches into a recap of his earlier discussion with Eric. He admits that the arrangement he’s proposing would put Eric and Jessica out there, but promises he will make it beneficial for them in return. He points out that Eric has nothing to lose in agreeing to the deal because he, Daniele, Eric and Jessica are the best players in the game. Dick contends that Jen is a positive liar while Jameka and Amber are the fats in the game, who haven’t really contributed anything. Dick assures Jessica that if she and Eric manage to work out Dustin’s exit, then it’ll be the four of them through to the very end. Dick admits to being an a**hole and a motherf**cker but assures her that he’s not a liar. He knows that if Jessica and Eric agree to let him stay, Jameka and Amber will be pissed and the house will be turned upside down. However, Dick poses the question as to whether they would rather have Dick and Daniele on their side, or Jameka and Amber, when Dick and Daniele can see her and Eric through to the finish line. Dick stresses that words don’t matter in the house and only actions do, before reminding her that he’s gotten things done when they were needed. Dick tells Jessica that he’s going to talk to Daniele and will send her up after.
By 1:30pm, all the houseguests (HGs) are on outdoor lockdown and Dick points out that Dustin is deep in thought just as he’d suggested earlier, for everyone to find their own corners and ponder the day’s strange events. An hour later, Dick and Eric are engaged in game talk, where Dick is trying to strike a deal with Eric. Dick is pointing out the flaws in Eric’s current affiliation while Eric asks for reasons why he should flip over to the side of the Donatos. Eric cites the arrangement Kail made with Daniele and how Kail still wound up evicted despite assurances from Daniele that she’d be safe that week. Eric declares that he wants a major offer in order to consider a pact with Dick and Dick proceeds to ask Eric what he wants. Eric insists he wants major guarantees and Dick presses him for details, but Eric says he’ll have to think about it. Dick assures him that if Eric agrees to save him, he’ll certainly owe him big time.
At half past noon, the houseguests (HGs) encounter more surprise guests aside from the colorfully dressed little man with the cryptic phrases. Outside, they find a guy clad as a pirate walking on stilts along with a barbershop quartet. The foursome just sang “Play that ivory rag,” to appreciative applause from the captive HG audience. The stilt-walking pirate declares “It is not enough to succeed, others must fail and after all what is a lie but the truth in masquerade. Always drink upstream from the herd. Gentlemen please another one (referring to the singers).”
Just before noon, all the houseguests (HGs) are asleep while a little man looking like a leprechaun or mad hatter jumps up and down on the eviction room couch. Five minutes later, Zach is up and soon lays eyes on the strange and colorful character.
The houseguests (HGs) get their wake-up call to the rockin’ tune of Bon Jovi’s “Livin’ on a Prayer” at 10:50am. Big Brother makes the announcement: “Houseguests, it’s time to get up for the day” and Dick, the lone HG up so far, mutters in the backyard, “That always works.”
Ask any Big Brother fan about Dr. Will Kirby and Mike “Boogie” Malin and they can tell you all about the pair. “Evil” Dr. Will was the winner of Big Brother 2 and in the final four of Big Brother All-Stars. Boogie was also in BB2 and was the winner of the All Stars season.
After Dick gets done talking with Eric, he spends some time with Jessica, basically telling her that the choice is hers because she has three people on her side, but cautions against allowing Dustin to rule her game.
At a little after 9:30 in the morning, Big Brother (BB) greets the houseguests (HGs) good morning and tells them it is time to wake up because the veto ceremony will begin in 90 minutes. An hour later, Jessica and Dustin make the last minute decision that if Dick uses the Power of Veto (PoV) on his daughter, Dustin will go up in her place against Dick. If Dick uses the PoV to take himself off the block, Jen will go up against Daniele.
It’s half past midnight in the Big Brother (BB) house and urgent meetings are underway all in preparation for the veto ceremony later. Jessica has decided to open her door to a dialogue with Zach, who tells her that he’s not with any alliance but is looking to join one and that his vote can be swayed. He offers to be used as a pawn and swears that he will be steadfast to anyone who does not screw him over. He suggests possible replacement nominees like Eric and Dustin, putting extra emphasis on the latter, saying that Dustin plays all sides and is stretched too thin. Zach and Jessica’s meeting lasts for just under an hour until almost 1:30am.
Around 2am, everyone except for Dick, Zach and Daniele is having a slumber party at the Head of Household (HoH) room. They are engaged in fun, idle chatter about the game, beer pong and each other. In the Moroccan room, Dick and Daniele are discussing strategy and laughing about the other houseguests (HGs) when Big Brother (BB) announces that the lights will go off in an hour. Half an hour later, Jen arrives with fresh news from the HoH room just as BB makes another countdown, stating that the lights will go out in 30 minutes. Back in the HoH room, the five are discussing the lights going off and Jen weaning information from them. They laugh as they watch Dick on the spy monitor as he passes the memory wall and gives each of their pictures the finger.
By 11am, Dick has gotten his second wind and starts working Jameka in the kitchen. He calls her a hypocrite and tells her that when she walks out of the Big Brother (BB) house, people will be tossing magic ping pong balls at her (in reference to when she drew Jen’s ball in a previous Power of Veto selection and called it a sign from God to play for her). Dick speaks to God, telling Him about Jameka calling Dick’s mother and daughter bitches. He then asks Jameka, who continues making her breakfast, if she prayed and asked for forgiveness. Jameka goes up to the Head of Household (HoH) room as Dick continues to shout at her.
Dick is off to an early rousing start today as he gives Dustin and Amber a very rude awakening. Dustin is returning to bed after spending a few minutes in the kitchen and Dick, who is up brushing his teeth, stands by the door of Dustin’s room and yells “I'm going to make you my f**king ‘Lil Ray of Sunshine’ today. I'm going to make you cry like the little f**king baby you are. You know you're the first one gone of the five and everyone knows it. I'm going to make sure you know it before this week is up, little f**king ‘Lil Ray of Sunshine.’ All week and if I stay it'll be next week too."
When feeds resume after the nomination ceremony, Eric, Jen, Jessica and Jameka are in the Head of Household (HoH) room talking about wanting to maintain consistency that’s why they nominated Dick and Daniele. Eric says that however you look at it, one of them is definitely headed home. Jameka concurs that it is game over for the Donatos.
By 10am, Zach, Amber and Dustin are at the kitchen counter when Big Brother (BB) announces over the speaker that the food competition will begin in an hour. A few minutes later, BB tells Jessica, “I said, it’s time to get up,” which elicits laughter from the trio in the kitchen. Shortly before 11am, BB gives the wake-up call and tells the houseguests (HGs) that it’s time to get up for the day. They are apparently on indoor lockdown in anticipation of the food competition and the feeds go down while it’s in progress.
While the newly-installed Head of Household (HoH) Jessica goes through her presents, Dick and Daniele confer in the round room, where Daniele tells Dick that if he goes up and she doesn’t, she’ll want to play for the Power of Veto (PoV), win and take him off. She says the worst part will be having to be nice to everyone if he winds up leaving. Dick responds that she won’t have to do that if she wins HoH immediately, but Daniele answers that she is no good with the HoH questions because she can’t think quickly.
The Big Brother (BB) houseguests (HGs) get their wake-up call between 10 to 10:30 in the morning and are soon sent to the Head of Household (HoH) for a lockdown. By noon, the HoH lockdown is lifted and the HGs are tasked with their weekly house cleaning. While the housekeeping is going on, Dustin, who is vacuuming, whispers to Eric to make sure he eats well, as though assuring him that he (Dustin) would be voting to keep Eric in the house and preparing him to gun for HoH.
It’s a little past one in the morning and the recently formed happy coalition looks to already be in jeopardy. Dustin is working to get Amber to let Eric stay and kick Kail out instead. Dustin argues that it’s a numbers game and the most important thing for them is to maintain their group of five. He concedes that, perhaps, Eric has hurt Amber but his game is over and done with anyway and the benefits of keeping him around outweigh the reasons for eliminating him. Dustin also points out the advantages of voting to evict Kail, noting that she wants to go home to her family before sequester. Dustin stresses that it’s a numbers game and there is strength in numbers, so this would be the smartest move for them. Amber asks for time alone to ponder what Dustin has said and Dustin gives her a hug before letting her go.
At a quarter to two in the afternoon, Big Brother (BB) announces “Houseguests (HGs), this is a lockdown. Please go inside.”
It’s a little after 1am at the Big Brother (BB) house and Dick is fiercely trying to convince Amber to change her vote towards evicting Eric. Amber is adamant that she can’t because she swore on her daughter’s life and Dick tells her it was stupid of her to make that kind of commitment before she had all the information. Amber admits that he’s right but says that it’s too late since she had given her word, which is everything. Dick reminds her of how badly she felt when Nick was ousted and Eric was responsible for putting him in the bad light that led to his eviction. She says that Eric will be held accountable but it would have to be next week. Dick alternately shouts then speaks quietly and then shouts again, doing his best to get Amber to reconsider. In between efforts to convince her to vote against Eric, he also pipes in some pretty heavy Dustin bashing. A short time later, Daniele joins them and together with Dick, the two of them try to double team her to switch her vote against Eric.
At close to 3:30pm, Jessica, Eric and Dustin are in the bedroom, where Eric points out that Dick is cooking for six people and he thinks that he and Dustin are the two not included in Dick’s food preparations. Eric also asks whether Kail is campaigning against him and swears he will kill her if she is. Jessica replies that Kail hasn’t said anything to her, while Dustin chides them to give the woman a break because she’s been on the block for three weeks.
OK, so it isn’t exactly midnight margaritas but some of the Big Brother (BB) houseguests (HGs) are vegging on the couches, waiting for their cookies to finish baking. At a quarter to 1am, Amber, Eric, Jessica, Jen and Jameka are patiently awaiting their midnight snack, while Kail and Dustin are engaged in a little pep talk in the bathroom. Dustin compliments her on how she’s played the game and credits her for predicting that Dick and Daniele would align with each other from as far back as two weeks. They both seem resigned that Kail will be departing soon. Dustin remarks that Kail has grown a lot since coming into Big Brother and Kail admits that it’s been the toughest month and a half for her because she’s had to deal with Dick. Dustin asks whether she’ll be grateful and relieved if she winds up leaving on Thursday, but Kail says she won’t because she’s been battling it out with Dick since day six and now, others are beginning to see that Dick isn’t always right but it’s too late.
Shortly before 7pm, Dick and Zach get into some game talk and Zach assures Dick that he will vote according to their wishes although he wonders if he might gain any advantage by voting to keep Kail. Dick tells him that if he can work with Kail or Jen, he can go ahead and check with Kail to find out what arrangement they can come up with. Zach mentions that he informed Daniele that Dustin had come to him campaigning to keep Eric. Zach tells Dick that Dustin is unaware that Zach knows he is playing both sides and they agree that Dustin must not find out that Zach has already figured him out. Dick tells Zach that he confronted Dustin about suggesting to Daniele that she put Dick up. Zach discloses that Dustin warned him that he’d be choosing the wrong side if he chooses to align himself with the Donatos. Dick says that Dustin went to him after the Power of Veto (PoV), thinking that Zach was going up and Zach says he knew that. Zach confesses that he desperately wants to be Head of Household (HoH) next week while Dick figures that the entire house probably never expected to see a Dick, Daniele, Jen, Kail and Zach alliance.
At a quarter to two on Monday morning, Dustin, Eric and Jessica are chatting idly in the backyard hot tub. Their conversation centers on Dustin’s relationship with Joe and how he was the worst lover but has had more than 50 lovers. This leads them to speculate on which of the houseguests (HGs) have had the fewest lovers and Eric thinks that the three of them must be among those who’ve had the fewest in the Big Brother (BB) house. A bit of game talk creeps into their discussion when Eric announces that he intends to put up some sort of Daniele/Dick/Jen combination if he ever wins Head of Household (HoH).
For the most part of the day, the five gunk bunnies – Zach, Jen, Daniele, Kail and Jameka – plod on at half past each hour, rising to the sound of the persistent and annoying buzzer to dump the funky gunk over themselves. Zach has consistently been the first to jump into the gunk bucket each and every time and has been dedicating his dumps to various relatives and friends outside the Big Brother (BB) house.
It’s almost 9:30 in the morning and some houseguests (HGs) are up and about in the Big Brother house on the day of the Power of Veto (PoV) competition. Has it really been a week since Dustin gave up the fight in exchange for $5,000? Dick and Dustin are in the kitchen while the reigning Head of Household (HoH) is busy shaving her arms and legs in her HoH quarters.
After the panic over Zach’s ringworm eventually died down, Dustin and Eric settled back into conversation on the lounge chairs in the backyard. They both agree they want Dick gone from the Big Brother (BB) house at all cost next week. Dustin claims that he’d have no problem putting both Dick and Daniele up if he wins Head of Household (HoH) again. He thinks that the coming week will be a double eviction one and that everyone knows it. Dustin expresses disgust over Dick’s outburst towards Eric earlier, at Jameka last night and over his insinuation that they were responsible for Nick’s early exit. He points out how Dick was the one who wanted Nick out as early as the first week.
Barely eight hours since Daniele won the Head of Household (HoH) competition, Dick, Daniele and Jessica figure out who cast the second vote against Kail last week. Dick conducted one on ones with Dustin and Eric, trying to get either of them to admit to being the culprit. For his part, Dustin flashed the Big Brother (BB) audience with his testicles for about five minutes.
At 7pm, the feeds return to normal after going on the blink for two and a half hours. Nick has successfully been evicted from the Big Brother (BB) house and the remaining houseguests (HGs) are now engaged in the endurance contest for Head of Household (HoH).
It’s Thursday once again and you know what that means in the Big Brother (BB) 8 universe – happy Head of Household (HoH) endurance test and EVICTION DAY!
Amber, Jessica, Eric and Jameka are talking in the Head of Household (HoH) room, where Eric is engaged in some all-out Kail and Dick bashing. He’s ranting on about Kail riding the week out until tomorrow’s HoH and eviction ceremonies, and then she’ll morph into a whole new person. He sees her as an obnoxious, old, boring liar whom he hates and wants to see gone from the Big Brother (BB) house as soon as possible. Eric thinks that if all of them can’t stand her, they should make the effort to see her packing.
It’s 3pm and the houseguests (HGs) are in indoor lockdown. Eric and Amber are discussing Dick and Daniele’s pitch that the banners that have flown by today are a message to keep Nick in the Big Brother house. Both Eric and Amber are adamant that they will not change their minds about eliminating Nick. When Dustin joins them in the small room, they bring him up to speed on their conversation and he concurs with their decision.
The houseguests (HGs) get their wake-up call mercifully late at almost 12 noon. Big Brother (BB) seems to take into consideration what time the last people go to bed, in choosing when to rouse all of them. Today, they’ve chosen George Michael’s “Freedom” to jumpstart the household. Kail is apparently clueless as to who is the artist of the song so Dustin launches into Wham’s “Wake Me Up Before You Go Go” to enlighten her.
It seems that Nick is upset with Daniele over her tendency to cut him off when he’s saying something. He tells her that he doesn’t want any bad blood or ill feelings between them, especially with his exit from the house just looming in the next 36 hours. He points out how it irritates him when she tells him to listen to her. Daniele tries to explain that she’s just trying to give him advice so he can stay in the Big Brother residence.
Good grief! It’s 4pm and about the most exciting thing going on in the Big Brother house is Jameka’s need to go potty. She’s talking with Dustin while waiting for the opportune moment to poop. Dustin thinks that if she becomes Head of Household (HoH), that would effectively split the five of them from the others. On the other hand, if Jessica gets to be HoH, the house will be divided down the middle. However, if either Dick or Daniele becomes the next HoH, the outcome will be questionable.
Hours after Dustin gave Nick a hysterical mohawk, Nick comes up to the Head of Household (HoH) room to talk to Dustin. His first concern is whether Dustin thinks the he voted to keep Mike in the Big Brother house. Dustin tells him that he doesn’t know and Nick responds that Dustin will, once the game is over. Dustin tells him that it doesn’t count for anything in relation to his nomination. Nick informs him that he isn’t planning on campaigning against Kail. After Nick leaves, Dustin goes over their conversation with Eric, Jameka and Amber. Their consensus is that, if Nick hadn’t voted to keep Mike, either Dick or Daniele did, but since Dick was HoH at the time, it was most likely Daniele doing her father’s bidding. This leads Eric into launching a full attack on Daniele. Actually, he begins by saying he really likes her but thinks she is the meanest, most viciously backstabbing person in the house, who will do whatever she must in order to win. The others join in the bandwagon and trash her all over. They claim that she dumps on people even on her good days and that Jen was right on when she said Daniele brings a lot of negative energy. They come to the conclusion that Daniele needs to be the first to leave.
The Big Brother (BB) houseguests (HGs) get their wake-up call mercifully late today at 11am. BB informs them that it’s time to get up and that the veto ceremony will commence in a couple of hours. Nick is off to a rousing start, warning everyone, except for Dick, that he had rigged the faucet to spray Dick. Despite the warning, Dustin keeps forgetting and winds up spraying himself. A little over an hour later, Dick tells Daniele and Eric that he got hit real good by the water earlier.
Were these people in Sybil? They have multiple personalities, change their minds all the time, and are so two- or three- faced. It's amazing. And they have side alliances with everyone. How do they keep them straight? I can't, that's for sure. The only firm alliances I know of are Dick/Daniele, Eric/Jess, Amber/Dustin. I thought at one point that Jameka was with Eric and Jess, but she's been spending a lot of time with Amber and Dustin. And then I've seen Amber sell Dustin down the river, too. They all trash each other. I guess you don't really have to like people to have an alliance with them.
It’s 9:30 in the morning and all the Big Brother houseguests (HGs) are still slumbering. There’s not much difference when they do get up as they spend the next five hours lounging, sunbathing and discussing haircuts, hairstyles, roller coasters, diet pills, the Matrix movie and Zach’s dream involving him, Nick and Superman.
Looks like the houseguests (HGs) got their wake-up call really early today at 7am. The HGs are milling around, going through their various stages of getting up. Amber appears busy with making game strategy rounds, having spoken to Dustin, Jameka and Jessica. In the bathroom, Eric informed Daniele and Amber that he was wearing protective padding from the waist down “because there are perverts in the house.” By 7:55, Big Brother (BB) orders everyone to go outside, saying “Kids, this is an outside lockdown.” BB ends up issuing a total of four warnings for ALL the HGs to go outside the house and close the sliding glass door behind them.
TGIF – Thank God it’s Friday! Stuck inside the walls of the Big Brother (BB) house? Think again. This entire Friday seems devoted to strategizing and analyzing the nomination sequence, in preparation for the Power of Veto (PoV) competition the tomorrow.
Same song, different verse. The 'Whole house alliance', now called the Late Night Crew (LNC), with Dustin as this week's spokesperson, has put Jen and Kail on the block. The caveat this week is that Dustin really wants to backdoor Zach. There may be a fracture in the group, however, if Jen is taken off the block and Zack is up against Kail. Dustin wants Zach gone, but quite a few members want Kail gone. The LNC consists of Dustin, Amber, Dick, Daniele, Eric, Jessica and Jameka. Daniele, Dick and Jessica have said that they would vote out Kail in the event of a Zach/Kail nomination.
Since not much has gone on since the Head of Household (HoH) competition, here are some tidbits from earlier.
Dick's reign of terror is over in the Big Brother house and for the second week in a row, neither of the original nominees for eviction were actually evicted. The vote was 7-2 for Kail to stay and Mike to leave. How did that happen?
It’s EVICTION DAY again at the Big Brother (BB) house! There is plotting in the wee hours and the game is afoot for some of the houseguests (HGs).
The houseguests (HGs) are engaged in game talk with Eric making some good arguments for targeting Kail, who they feel, is the likeliest candidate to reform an alliance. Jameka warns that with Mike, none of them can really tell what he might be up to because he hardly ever speaks to anyone. Daniele concurs, bringing up the irony of Mike’s integrity speech when he never previously admitted to the Mrs. Robinson Alliance (MRA). Eric comments on how Jen and Kail make a bad unit together and expresses his concern about how to ensure that they won’t still be around by week nine. Dustin claims that the rest of them as a unit can work to keep Jen and Kail apart.
It’s 9:30 in the morning and the houseguests (HGs) are up and wondering why they’ve been roused so early. Dustin thinks Big Brother (BB) may have gotten tired of them staying up so late into the night. Not much goes on for the rest of the morning apart from a bit of volleyball and much napping.
I am so confused! Usually by this time I have a clue as to who is staying, but this time? Nothing. At the Power of Veto (PoV) competition, Dick was adamant that Kail should go. Later, though, he decided that it was so easy to rattle her that she's a cipher in the game and that Mike was a bigger threat. I wonder if the fact that Mike stood up to him and said he wouldn't be bullied had anything to do with Dick's change of heart. And up until Sunday, Dick had his 'non-alliance' all on board with the plan to evict Mike.
The houseguests get their wake up call at a quarter to 11 in the morning, to the tune of what sounds like Eminem’s “Lose Yourself.” Everyone is up shortly after and Daniele is complaining that she keeps getting summoned to the diary room for really stupid interrogations. She, Kail and Dustin are talking about Carol and how much she had wanted to go home. Daniele remarks that they should really stop discussing her because they’re just continuing to give her recognition.
Dick and Daniele are really opening up to each other now. Dick tells his daughter that what she did – refusing to talk to him for years, cutting off communication between them – was one of the cruelest things a person could do to someone who loves them. Obviously hurting, Dick falls apart and breaks down. Daniele explains that she doesn’t feel that theirs is a father-daughter relationship because Dick behaves like a mean friend towards her. She goes on to tell him that he delights in telling her she’s selfish when he obviously doesn’t really know her and he can go ask anyone who does, because they’ll vouch for her as someone who puts others ahead of herself. Dick counters that they seem to have the hardest time appreciating the other’s perspective and he feels that they should get some counseling after the Big Brother competition because the last thing he wants is for her to shut him out of her life again. Dick is crying again but Daniele appears unmoved, clearly clinging to the pain she claims he’s inflicted. She tells him that she will never forget all the things he’s said to hurt her even if he claims he can’t recall ever saying them. Dick responds that she shouldn’t act as though she’s never said hurtful things to him and Daniele points out that he’s supposed to be the father. Dick replies that he’s also supposed to be her friend and if he tries to be a father…
Nick and Daniele are having some sort of a quasi-lover’s spat in the bedroom. It’s uncertain just what, exactly, they’re squabbling about but they’re engaged in some rather sarcastic banter which culminates with Daniele storming out of the bedroom and into the bathroom.
It’s a little after midnight and the “I Hate Zach, Dick and Joe” show is underway, live from the Big Brother house. Amber and Eric are taking turns declaring war on their two fellow houseguests (HGs) from the inner sanctum known as the Head of Household (HoH) room. Eric states unequivocally that he hates Zach. He’s also not particularly fond of Mike and claims that he hasn’t engaged either of them in any sort of game talk in the 23 days they’ve been together. Eric also seems pretty pissed with Dick. He thinks Dick is too much of a loose cannon at this game and threatens to bury him dead if Dick ever says anything else about him. Eric believes that with Dick carrying on the way he has, he’s a prime candidate to be sent packing by anyone who wins succeeding HoHs.
That must have been one hell of a birthday bash because Dick is all fired up again. He’s all steamed that Jen, Zach and Nick were up in the Head of Household (HoH) room. Dick hollered as Zach and Jen left the HoH room and yelled that he no longer wanted anyone in that room without him. On his way out of the house, Dick caught Amber by the sink and proceeded to rant about the HoH incident. Outdoors, he lights up a smoke and cusses, so Nick calls him over to tell him that he’d booted Zach and Jen out of the HoH quarters. While the Icks are engaged in conversation, Daniele pops out and asks to speak with her father. Dick tells her he’s busy at the moment and Daniele slams the door behind her. Nick seems to be having a breakdown, talking a mile a minute and confessing that the game and Daniele situation are getting to him. Just then, Daniele comes back, trying once more to get Dick to talk to her but Dick again tells her to wait because he’s in the middle of a conversation. Daniele indignantly snaps back that perhaps, she won’t want to talk to him later, before once again slamming the door behind her. Dick then comments on how Daniele always wants everything to be according to her terms.
At a quarter to two in the morning, Dick, Jessica, Eric and Jameka are hanging in the backyard and discussing, of all things, POOP. Apparently, Jameka is having trouble with her bowel movement and as if on cue, Jessica winds up farting. Dick naturally proceeds to regale everyone about his own gas passing incident earlier in the diary room. In a fitting segue, the conversation moves to Kail and how Dick wants her head to spin so much this week that she won’t know what to do for the next Head of Household (HoH) competition. Somehow, the topic shifts from Kail to Dick’s morning boner. Dick narrates that the weirdest thing that’s happened to him since coming to the Big Brother house is falling asleep, waking up with morning wood and having Nick tell everyone about it.
Whoa! The houseguests (HGs) are getting an early wake up call at eight this morning. Big Brother (BB) has just roused them to the tunes of Queen and David Bowie. BB is off to a feisty start today as he informs Amber, Daniele and Jameka that “the bedroom lights MUST remain on during the day.” Ten minutes later, BB orders all the HGs to move their microphones higher. Meanwhile, Nick and Daniele manage some harmless flirtation and playful bantering up in the Head of Household (HoH) bedroom.
It’s almost 4:30 in the morning and Dick and Daniele are talking in the Head of Household (HoH) bedroom. Dick suspects that the squabble that transpired between Nick and Jen may all be for show. Dick warns Daniele to be careful of Nick, something Daniele appears to resent. Dick asks his daughter to at least respect his opinion and he’ll do the same for her. He then announces that he’s going downstairs to ask Jessica and Jameka to sleep in the HoH bedroom with her, because it’s only fair for the girls who’d been on the slop to have that privilege. He says he’s content to sleep downstairs with Kail, Mike and the others.
What a difference a week makes! This time last week on Big Brother 8, Dick and his daughter, Daniele, were on the block, but this week they are both still there and Dick is Head of Household (HoH). How did that happen? Well, after Daniele won the Power of Veto (PoV), for the second straight week and took herself off, the others somehow convinced Jen to put Joe on the block. Despite Kail's best efforts, Joe went home and almost immediately afterwards, Dick won HoH. Now Kail and Jen are on the block.
That’s it; it’s final! Joe Barber is officially out the door and Dick Donato is now the new Head of Household (HoH)! A little before half past 6pm and the houseguests (HGs) are all sitting around the table and Dustin is telling them that he’s glad he can finally feel comfortable because it’s been difficult for him with Joe around and he’s done his best to handle things properly. Everyone else is just pretty much waiting for the food to be served.
It’s 5am and Dick and Jen are still up and talking outside. Dick is persistently trying to convince her of the futility of belonging to the Mrs. Robinson Alliance (MRA). Jen is just taking it all in stride without changing her stance. Jen is waiting to see if Dick might reveal whose votes he knows he’s got locked in. Jen explains that she really has no choice but stick with the MRA because everyone else already has their own cliques in the house. She’d be left on the outside, on her own, looking in, if she didn’t align herself with MRA. Jen then tells Dick that it’s unfortunate that Daniele has hooked up with Nick, considering she already has a boyfriend outside the house. Dick tells Jen that Daniele feels bad about the whole situation although she really hasn’t done anything bad. Jen then claims that Nick is only using Daniele and that he really wants to get her out of the house. By 5:30am, Jen decides to go to bed and Dick follows suit half an hour later.
It’s 7:30 in the evening and Kail, Mike and Joe are talking in the kitchen. Joe tells them that he thinks he’ll be OK now that he’s spoken to Nick. Kail is considering lying low because she feels she’s angered and alienated a lot of folks in the Big Brother house.
Mike is the first one up at 9am in the Big Brother house. Kail wakes up soon after and engages Mike in a discussion about Nick and Dick. Kail suspects that Nick may have told Daniele that she and Mike were planning to evict Dick. The two of them try to figure out who’s voting to keep Joe, how many votes they need to get rid of Dick and exactly which group Nick has aligned himself with. Kail tells Mike that he needs to work on some people today to get Dick voted out.
It’s almost noon and Jen is taking 20 minutes trying to get into a complicated wrap bathing suit, nearly giving us a front seat view of her rump when part of it started falling off. She goes on to the hot tub and proudly shows it off as her own creation. At some point, Jen asks Dustin if he’s seen her bikini and Dustin tells her he wants to see it wet, which confuses her since it’s already soaked. Dustin clarifies that he means her nipples are showing then adds that anyway, that’s not something they haven’t seen before.
While Dick is having his one-on-one with Kail at the hammock, Amber and Dustin are bonding rather mushily in the Head of Household (HoH) bedroom. Amber is telling Dustin that she needs to spread her love and not send all of it Dustin’s way but that it’s hard for her not to cling to him. Dustin is telling her she made him feel really wonderful, hearing her talk about stuff like honesty, trust and loyalty in a speech clearly directed at Joe. Amber says something about not liking the gonorrhea issue and that she knows Dustin wasn’t responsible for that. Dustin goes on to say that he doesn’t really know what to say when Joe does go home. He’s not sure if he has an adequate or appropriate goodbye message after all that’s transpired between them. Dustin claims that after Joe set him up, he pretty much closed the door on Joe and a lot of other things in his life. Amber tells him she too, has turned her back on a few things like her addiction to speed, which she says, she’s been free of since November. Dustin volunteers that he has also kicked his smoking and drinking and has begun working out, all of which have made his life better.
Eric, Dick and Jessica are talking in the hammock and Dick mentions how surprised he was at how much emotion Daniele showed during the Power of Veto (PoV) ceremony. They also talk about how Joe is likely to go down in a blaze of glory and probably stir the pot before he eventually goes. Their conversation then drifts to getting rid of the Mrs. Robinson Alliance (MRA) and Dick goes on to say that he would like to be Head of Household (HoH) next week so he can put Jen up.
Joe and Jen are in the bathroom where Joe is pleading his case for Jen not to put him up. Jen has flatly told him that she is not putting Zach up regardless of what everyone else wants in the house. Joe tells her that it would appear as if she was allied with Zach and Jen tells him that she doesn’t care what it would look like.
Amber, Dustin and Kail are talking in the Head of Household (HoH) room presumably about who Jen is likely to nominate when the Power of Veto (PoV) is used. It seems that all three of them want Joe to go up instead of whoever ends up being spared by the PoV. As if on cue, Jen comes into the HoH room and declares that she thinks she might get rid of Nick. The others in the room don’t look particularly thrilled to hear this. Dustin remarks that voting Nick out seemed more like a personal agenda rather than a strategic maneuver. Kail mentions something about putting Joe up, to which Jen responds that doing so would help everyone except her.
It’s a quarter to two on Saturday morning and Amber and Mike are in the kitchen talking about their pet peeves among their fellow houseguests (HGs). They’re complaining about folks hogging the mirror, jumping in line to workout, being loud while people are sleeping, not cleaning up and not replenishing the toilet paper. After several minutes of this talk, Mike and Amber decide to hit the sack but Amber ends up following Dick out into the backyard, where he promptly warns her against trusting Eric or Mike.
It’s nearly 2:30 on Friday morning at the Big Brother house and Eric and Jen are talking in the Head of Household (HoH) room. Jen is adamantly declaring that she needs Dick, Daniele and Joe out of the house. Eric seconds that especially regarding Joe and Daniele.
Kail’s reign as Head of Household (HoH) is over and Jen is victorious as the new HoH. She’s in one of the bedrooms talking with Kail, Amber, Daniele and a few others. She tells them she requested for “kombucha” which is apparently a health food drink/supplement found only at the Whole Foods Market.
After Amber and Jameka go to bed, Dick stays up following his trip to the bathroom. He puts on his "Dick at Night" act for the viewers and goes on to ramble about everything that pops into his head. He’s also made a mission of decorating the kitchen topiaries with some kitchen gloves. After a while, he replaces the glove with a pineapple and keeps up with his one-man show. After an hour, Dick takes his monologue to the backyard until he decides to hit the sack about half an hour later.
A few minutes after Nick left Daniele to herself, she finds solace in Kail’s company. Daniele is venting her frustration over the apparent lack of privacy and how some people are becoming too personal with their talk. She goes on to say that she wishes she could talk to her boyfriend or best friend and once again expresses disgruntlement over her personal stuff getting dragged out in public. At the same time she is upset, she also laughs at the irony of wanting privacy in the Big Brother setup. After a while, she and Kail embrace each other and leave.
Shortly after the hoopla over Dick’s unprotected package, Eric repeatedly asks for five minutes alone with Amber in the backyard. Amber is annoyed at Carol, who she perceives is attempting to form bonds and relationships now when she previously hadn’t bothered. As though on cue, Carol emerges and tries to join them, but Eric is adamant about being left alone with Amber.
Not much has gone on in the Big Brother 8 house since early evening. With an hour to go before midnight, the houseguests (HGs) are just hanging out in groups all over the place. Kail, Eric, Daniele, Jameka and Nick are in the kitchen where Kail and Eric are eating while Jameka is drinking orange juice. Meanwhile, Zach, Carol and Jen are in the bathroom where Jen is getting a bit creeped out by Carol’s request to try on Jen’s still-wet bikini.
Big Brother 8 houseguests (HGs) Jen, Mike and Dick are talking in the kitchen about a variety of things including having to prepay their bills for three months before taking part in the show. Jen tells them how she often gets her identity stolen because her name is so common. Dick heads up to bed and Mike and Jen joke about the sleeping arrangements because their two gay housemates are sleeping with the girls while two straight guys (Mike and Dick) are sleeping in the same bed. Mike and Jen carry on with similar inane and trivial talk until all the HGs are asleep around 6am.
When the 14 houseguests for Big Brother 8 were first revealed, some fans thought someone was missing: Samantha. Who is she? Well, the TV Guide Channel ran a video preview of the new season, complete with images and interviews of 15 different people. When only 14 were officially revealed, suspicions loomed that the phantom Samantha would be a secret twist, or possibly even the mysterious America's Player.
The 14 house guests for Big Brother 8 were only just revealed, and already hordes of Internet detective wannabes are digging up every scrap of information they can on the unwitting participants. Armed with the knowledge that some of the contestants will be locked in with their worst enemies, dots are being connected all over the World Wide Web, and there’s some juicy stuff in store for viewers.
Late last week, Early Show anchor, Big Brother host and wife of the President of CBS Julie Chen revealed the names and bios of the 14 people who will be sequestered for the summer with their every move recorded. Chen also announced the main twist of the new season: some guests will be placed in the house with their worst enemy.
The season starts off Thursday, July 5 at 8pm. Here’s a brief look at the 13 who will vie for the top prize:

As CBS begins to conceptualize and plan for next summer's Big Brother 8, there are many issues worth mulling over. Should they change the game? Should there be rule changes? A new house? A new twist? A new casting philosophy?
Of course, changes will be made, but it's most likely that all of these alterations will be minor. But they shouldn't be. Big Brother is, at present, on the border of becoming hopelessly stale. Something has got to give, and CBS needs to recognize this and shake things up.

For all you Boogie haters out there, here's something that won't make you all too happy. We all know that Boogie runs a few reataurants in LA. What you may not have known was the degree to which those restaurants are successful: Entrepeneur Magazine recently featured Mike "Boogie" Malin in their Young Millionaires feature.
Big Brother 7: All Stars came, wreaked havoc in the schedules of countless fans, then, in such an unceremonious manner, exited our lives, leaving us another nine months without our beloved reality show. What is a person to do?
Big Brother 7: All-Stars was as polarizing a season as the franchis has yet seen, mostly due to the “All-Star” aspect. One couldn't know what exactly to expect and, for some, their worst fears were realized. Contestants entered the house familiar with each other and their tendencies. Fights were kept to a minimum, everyone generally got along, and the end result was a season lacking the conflict of previous years. Nonetheless, Big Brother remained an addictive and entertaining show, full of interesting and unique characters who made the season what it was; flawed, yet intriguing.
Although Big Brother 8 is an agonizing nine months away, it is not too early to get excited. I, for one, cannot wait for a new batch of HouseGuests to bring back the freshness that Big Brother 7 was lacking. Will they keep the same house? Will they incorporate new twists? Will Julie Chen finally “retire”? All good questions to ponder over during the long and excruciating wait.

(Here is my suggestion for Big Brother 8. It might be a little wishful thinking, but a boy can dream, can't he?)
In an alternate universe where Big Brother 8: World All-Stars is the most important and popular television show to ever grace the planet earth AND the prize money is akin to winning the lottery (let's say $80 million) AND I am the President of CBS AND any person currently alive is completely willing to drop everything and enter the Big Brother house for an indeterminate period of time AND the world has adopted one common language, negating all translation issues AND it was my goal, as President of CBS, to create the most interesting, drama-filled house in BB history THEN these would be my top twelve picks for the ultimate, world-wide version of Big Brother.
Michael Jackson (Pop Star)
Can you imagine the levels of weirdness we could reach by having a camera on MJ 24/7? Would he interact with anybody or just hide in really odd places? Would he write inspirational songs about the house challenges? Would his face melt during outdoor lockdowns? The possibilities are endless.

Recap:
After 72 days of Big Brother goodness, it's time to bid adieu to Julie Chen and her merry band of D-list miscreants. We begin the show looking at Chen (who's wearing her ugliest blouse since...well, last week), as she inexplicably starts high-fiving the members of the crowd. The show just started. Nothing you've done, Julie, deserves the high-fives of strangers. Mike Boogie vs. Erika. Let the build-up begin.
We get an abbreviated season recap before we head to the jury house for the taped entrance of the final juror, Janelle. Her arrival seems painfully staged. You can tell when things are staged by the way the HouseGuests talk, especially someone like Janelle. She is natural in front of the camera when flying off the cuff and being herself, but when “acting” she is stiff and awkward. This particular entrance is stiff and awkward.

Will's eviction sends Boogie into a baffled depression. He is too shocked to be angry, but I guess he didn't see it coming. I find it remarkable that he didn't think Janelle would vote him out. It was, obviously, the smart move and Boogie shouldn't be taking Janelle for a fool.

Man, it just feels like CBS wants this season to end, what with three evictions in three episodes. Tonight is a special live show and Julie Chen welcomes us, curiously clad in fatigues. Before we get to the HouseGuests, let's check in on the sequester house, shall we?
With a hurricane on it's way to pound Cabo San Lucas, the evicted Big Brother All-Stars are moved to another jury house, this one in an undisclosed location. Howie and Marcellas fight over...um, actually I'm not sure. Howie throws out a number of personal attacks to which Marci gamely responds with some slurs of his own. Howie splashes water on Marcellas. Take that!

Recap:
All right, we've all known this was coming and Julie tells us again at the opening of the episode. This live show will contain the initial live eviction, then a week's worth of events all compressed into one hour of live TV: Head of Household Competition, Nomination Ceremony, Power of Veto Competition, Power of Veto Ceremony, and Live Eviction.
With Big Brother 7: All-Stars winding down, there has been much speculation regarding a possible 8th season. Will there be one? No one is sure yet; CBS has yet give it the go ahead. No one will dispute the fact that Big Brother has it's problems. Ratings have gone steadily downhill and the quality of the show itself doesn't live up to seasons past. What should CBS do to remedy Big Brother? I have some ideas.

Well, finally, we got ourselves a little drama. And some Doogie.
Janelle is not at all pleased with Erika for nominating her and, weirdly, she is offended by Erika's compliments towards her. Chicken George, on the other hand, feels okay being nominated. He's used to it.
There is little in the way of aftermath of the nominations. Georgie, however, is the first person to look at ChillTown and say, “Hey, wait a second. Why the hell haven't you guys been nominated?” Well, actually, George didn't say exactly those words because he's bad at talking. However, he's right. ChillTown are floating along and everyone seems oblivious.

James and his whiny ways are gone from the house and, again, the HouseGuests seem mildly devastated about it. George salutes the man and Danielle is beyond pissed off. Infuriated, she talks to Boogie about the whole situation and, admirably, keeps her emotions in check. She vows to take out Will, who publicly takes the onus for the last three evictions. Sometimes, Will's arrogance is awe-inspiring.
Or, should I say, “How rigged is BIG BROTHER?”
Although the whole reality TV industry is based on, well, reality, we all know that our so-called reality programs tend to fudge things a little. Of course, we don't really want reality or we wouldn't be watching TV. What we want to see is people, presumably like us, edited to seem either a) really dumb, b) totally obnoxious, or c) triumphant and larger than life. The boom of reality TV was a result of the information age; with so much reality available to us, what need to do we have for fiction? Viewers are able to envision themselves in the same situations as the biggest reality stars. The same can't be said of a fictional drama. I don't really see myself living in a mansion in Newport Beach and routinely making out with Mischa Barton, but I could easily win a million dollars on SURVIVOR.

Howie's expulsion from the BIG BROTHER house, in such an explosive manner, has left the HouseGuests feeling bad. James is sad that he's gone, but not for game play purposes; they have a relationship outside the house. Janelle is more pissed off than sad, knowing she's been played, yet again. Boogie is still incredulous over Howie's exit, in disbelief over his actions because “It's a game.” Chicken George, weirdly, seems to feel no remorse and laughs about the fact that the Jedi apprentice has taken out the Jedi master.
Ivette Corredero Interview (BIG BROTHER 6 / Top 20 All-Star Candidate) – 8/6/06

So Ivette, how did you get involved with BIG BROTHER?
I got involved with BIG BROTHER because I was looking through the computer trying to find a quick way to make money for my mom and I didn't pay any attention to it because it was a big process on everything that I needed to do at that time and then two guys came up and asked if I wanted to be in a reality show and I said sure and it all lead to this. One thing led to the next and all of a sudden I'm on the show.
Did you follow BIG BROTHER at all before being on the show yourself?
No I didn't. I did not.
So, what would you say your experience being on BIG BROTHER 6 was like? Was it a good experience?
It was a great experience, honestly. You know, at first you are kind of like, "Was it great or was it not? Would I do it again and was it worth it?" But it helped me grow so much as a person. It helped me grow so much as a person as far as making me stronger and making smarter decisions and everything. You realize the important things. You just have so much time to yourself. I know all of these things it’s probably some of the things you don’t want to hear but that’s how I took the game and on some part of it, there is reality to it and people will do whatever it takes to get to the top and that’s real life. It’s not just about the game.
Do you still keep in touch with a lot of the people?
I keep in touch with James and I keep in touch with Beau and I talk to Eric every now and then. I haven’t spoken to him again and I spoke with Janelle briefly.
Would you say that you got along with the majority of the people on your season?
The majority? No. Not the majority.

Recap:
“Erika is a scumbag of a player,” says Janelle in the Diary Room as the show begins. How does one become a “scumbag” of a player? I suppose, by Janelle's certainly jaded definition, that being a “scumbag” consists of being nice to everyone and not choosing to backstab the people you live with. Can we all put to rest the notion that Janelle might be smarter than she seems? She is dumb. Let's move on.
We all know that the Big Brother producer’s, as well as the fans, have made a big joke out of Chicken George’s snoring and bizarre behavior, but what if both were an indication of a life threatening condition that could take the big lug out? Wouldn’t be so funny then would it? Well guess what, they are. And since the network won’t act responsibly, it’s up to us Big Brother fans to take action.

Recap:
What a weird episode. CBS, I've got to admit, you guys are kind of blowing it these days. Remember last episode, on Thursday, when Erika won the Head of Household challenge? Well, it doesn't count. It turns out Howie didn't hit his buzzer hard enough and it didn't register, so the HouseGuests had to redo the competition. Guess who won? Who the producers wanted to win, of course: Janelle.

Hey, it's another live eviction show! We all know what that means: Julie Chen! Hooray! Whenever we start a recap with three exclamation points, you know it's going to be good, right? Wait, don't answer that. Anyway, Chen comes out showing a lot of shoulder cleavage (I think they call those blouses “strapless”) and generally acting robotic. Kaysar says he wasn't surprised to be nominated, given how much Danielle wants season 6 out of there. However, Kaysar does prove his naivety when he thinks that he can get Boogie and Will's votes for the eviction. Kaysar futilely attempts to coax Erika into voting for him, but she is going to remain loyal to Danielle for undisclosed reasons. Chicken George really likes Kaysar and says so, but you never know with Georgie.

Recap:
We rejoin the BIG BROTHER 7: ALL-STAR house immediately following Sunday's nomination ceremony, in which Danielle put Janelle and James up on the block. Janelle is taken aback by the James nomination, thinking that him and Danielle were buddy-buddy. Which they are. She just doesn't know it. James is playing his secret alliance off well, Danielle's idea of nominating him as a pawn working perfectly. Howie and Kaysar are convinced, as is Marcellas.

Recap:
We left off last episode in the midst of the Head of Household competition. It is an endurance challenge, every non-Janelle HouseGuest tangled in a giant spider-web. The last one off is Head of Household. Simple enough. The catch, though, is that there are five “spider eggs” sitting on a table outside the web; the first five people off the web get the contents of one of the eggs. One has a Get Out of Slop for a Week Pass, one has $10,000, one has a pass to nullify an eviction vote, and two are rotten.

Episode Overview: Our first live eviction of the season is followed by the beginning of a daunting endurance competition for Head of Household.
Episode Highlights:
Recap:
Tonight's episode is special because it contains this season's first live eviction. Which is completely different from the usual taped votes because...um...it takes a little longer. So, you know, we got that going for us. Julie Chen opens the proceedings by telling us of the crumbling Season Six alliance. From there, more footage, like last week, of James totally pissed off at Janelle. Which he should be. Janelle has been remarkably dumb and short-sighted.
I am a fan of Diane and generally think Erika is worthless, so this analysis may be a tad biased, but I think Diane is getting screwed here. The nomination she received from Janelle after Boogie used the Veto on himself was spiteful and unnecessary. It was also a poor move strategically, the ramifications of which should be seen within the next couple of weeks. Whatever. All that matters is who is nominated tonight, and that is Erika and Diane.
Erika has been the ultimate floater on BIG BROTHER 7: ALL-STARS. She has no alliances, she has not picked a side, when she got the Power of Veto she didn't use it, and, frankly, she has no chance at winning. Diane has failed in her attempted alliance building and currently has no one (that we know of) on her side.
Janelle wants Diane out for no apparent reason, and since ChillTown made a deal with her, they will vote how she wants. All this being said, ther may still be hope for Diane if ChillTown decides to turn the tables on Janelle at the last minute. Earlier in the season doing something like that to Janelle would be fatal, but now it wouldn't be that huge of a deal since the Season Six alliance is splintering.
But, as always, you never know.
My Prediction: Erika, in a surprise twist, gets voted off, much to Janelle's chagrin.

Recap:
After a flashback of Tuesday's Power of Veto ceremony in which Chicken George enlisted the Power and was replaced as a a nominee by Jase, we get a little mini-speech from Jase. Trying to be cool like Will, he echoes Will's sentiments from earlier, stating that he also hates the rest of the HouseGuests. Whatever, Jase. The man is grasping at straws. We see Boogie and Will soon after the ceremony giggle with pleasure at the audacity of Will's speech and how it probably saved him from eviction.
Yes, Jase sort of got back-doored by James after Chicken George won the Power of Veto, but, let's face it, the writing was on the wall. Jase is a dangerous loose cannon who can win any challenge that involves athleticism. He is also a mental midget, incapable of great game play, and easily manipulated. The manipulation part is important when considering the Season Sixers decision to put him up on the block. Jase can never be controlled and you won't ever really know where (or with whom) he stands. On the other hand, you will always know where Dr. Will stands: against you. He is a worthy adversary to be sure, but it is always nice to have your enemy there in front of you, right where you can see him, rather that have a snake in the grass like Jase wandering parts unknown. James and the Season Sixers have to be feeling good about there position regardless of who gets evicted, for they will have eliminated an obvious threat. If Jase remains, he will likely come out firing against the Sixers, more so than Will. This is why I believe the final vote will be be nearly unanimous to evict Jase from the BIG BROTHER 7: ALL-STARS house. Jase, your hair will be dearly missed.

After we do the typical black and white flashbacks, we listen to Will tell us why he loves being nominated. He likes the attention. We know, Will. Chicken George is both taken off-guard and a little pissed that he got nominated. He tries to act like he’s not bothered by it when talking to James, but he is clearly devastated, his whole demeanor changing almost immediately. Word around the house spreads that the Season Sixers intentions with the nominations is to vote off Georgie and use Will as a pawn. Boogie is exasperated that they would consider Will (“the best player ever”) a pawn in any sense. The consensus is that George will be going home come eviction time.

Episode Overview: The second BIG BROTHER 7: ALL-STAR HouseGuest of the season is evicted, and a new Head of Household is crowned.
Episode Highlights:
Recap:
Our second live eviction show of the BIG BROTHER 7: ALL-STARS season begins with a flashback to last episode's Power of Veto ceremony. Erika chose not to use her Veto and then we get the nominee's (Nakomis and Diane) reactions. Nakomis is pretty angry that the veto wasn't used, complaining that ChillTown needs to be taken out. Diane isn't surprised, citing how almost all of the BIG BROTHER HouseGuests lack a spine.
Nakomis and Diane are both BIG BROTHER 5 alumni and have been good friends in the BIG BROTHER 7: ALL-STARS house thus far, which will make tonight's eviction very difficult for both of them, regardless of who gets the boot. Kaysar was the Head of Household this week, and his strategy was fairly murky when it came to these nominations. His fellow Season Sixers wanted him to put up the members of the ChillTown alliance (Will and Boogie), but
Kaysar stuck to his guns, determined to start eliminating the “floaters” from the game. Early in the week, it looked like the house was leaning towards keeping Nakomis, but now (courtesy of the live feeds) it looks as if Diane will be the one remaining in the house, likely with a unanimous vote. The reason for this is simple: the fellow BIG BROTHER contestants view Nakomis as a more formidable opponent going forward than little Diane.
But who knows? Anything can happen at the last minute. However, my prediction is this: Nakomis evicted by a near unanimous vote. Stay tuned.

There are times in life when you are stricken with an utterly mind-blowing realization about yourself. These are life-changing moments, when your fears and doubts come to life, making light a new aspect of your being, bringing forth an undeniable truth about the person you are, no matter how badly you'd like to be wrong. Yesterday, this happened to me. I was on the Internet, minding my own business, reading about BIG BROTHER 7: All-Stars. I can say, honestly, that I am a BIG BROTHER fan. No soul-searching needed to rationalize this; BIG BROTHER is a very good show. However, I clicked on a link and found myself here, a story speculating about the possibility of Julie Chen being pregnant. I gave the posting a voracious read, and then it hit me, like a Tony Jaa knee to the face: I actually care about whether Julie Chen is pregnant or not.

Episode Overview: With Diane and Nakomis on the chopping block, the all-important Power of Veto competition is conducted.
Episode Highlights:
Recap:
We flashback to the nomination ceremony from Sunday's episode, where Diane and Nakomis got sent to the chopping block. Marcellas, among others, isn't all too happy with Kaysar's nominations and I can understand why. He really should have nominated a member of Chill Town (Boogie and Will), but opted instead for the path of least resistance. Soon after the nominations, Kaysar apologizes to Diane and Nakomis, and neither of them are outwardly angry towards Kaysar. They both seem to like and respect him, but Diane begins crying in front of him, devastated. You see, Diane and Nakomis, both from Season 5, are the only friends each other have on BIG BROTHER 7: ALL-STARS, so it sucks for them that one has to go, barring a veto. Boogie assures Diane that he didn't make a deal with Kaysar or anything. This is a blatant lie.

Our first non-Alison episode of the year begins with Janelle saying that she feels safe now that Alison is gone, since she was her biggest threat. The thing is, though, there are a number of HouseGuests who would love you out of the game, Janelle, but they're not as overt or obvious about it as Alison was. Danielle confesses that because Janelle campaigned hard to remove Ali instead of her, Danielle has been doing some serious Janelle ass-kissing. It seems that they're both okay with it.

Episode Overview: On the first live eviction show, one BIG BROTHER HouseGuest leaves and a new Head of Household challenge is conducted.
Recap:
The first live eviction show of the season begins with Julie Chen standing in the garden, where she will spend the rest of the night. Before we get to any live interviews, Julie introduces some clips that lead up to the eviction voting. In the Diary Room, Danielle and Alison (the two nominees) have very different outlooks on the voting. Alison calls herself a “vengeful bitch” and proclaims that if she doesn't get voted off, she will be an absolute force to be reckoned with. I don't get this. Simply saying you're a huge threat doesn't make it true, especially when your pretty much universally despised in the house. Danielle, on the other hand, is calm about her possible eviction, saying nice things, not calling anyone out. However, she does start crying (with some soothing Guitar music in the background) and lamenting her nomination. She doesn't like it, apparently.

We've been through two episodes and almost a full week of live feeds for BIG BROTHER 7: All-Stars. So, what does that mean? Our first ever edition of the Big Brother HouseGuest Power Rankings!
Where do all the contestants stand? Who has played the game best, thus far? If I had to predict the the winner, right now, who would it be?
1. Jase Wirey
The first co-Head of Household has played a masterful game so far. Jase has stayed on everyone's good side, gained the trust of the season Sixers, and may or may not have a secret alliance with Diane. The name of the game is flexibility, and Jase has it in spades.
2. James Rhine
The alumni of Big Brother 6 are a tight-knit group and have an obvious alliance. As a result, they are a target. However, James is the only one of the four that is showing a willingness to branch out. He has made a conscious effort to distance himself from the Sixers. This creates a perfect endgame strategy. If the Sixers are targeted, and get plucked off one by one, James will likely be the last of the four to go, giving him an extra four weeks to make different alliances. If the Sixers make it to the end, James, because of his good relationships with the others, would be the favorite in the final jury vote.

Episode Rating: *** (3 stars out of 5)
Episode Overview: On the second episode of the season, the BIG BROTHER drama heats up, we see out first Power of Veto challenge, and “Chicken” George shows off his snoring abilities.
Recap:
Alison and Danielle are on the chopping block, being the two who Janelle and Jase nominated for eviction. We begin the episode with Alison in the Diary Room talking some mad trash about Janelle, saying that later on in BIG BROTHER 7 (if she survives) Alison is going to take Janelle out.
Danielle Reyes vs. Alison Irwin
Nomination Episode: CBS Big Brother 7: All-Stars, Episode 1 "The HouseGuests Move In"
Heads of Household: Janelle and Jase
Analysis:
As joint Heads of Household, Jase and Janelle made a prudent move by nominating Danielle and Alison. Danielle has no strong connections to anyone in the house, the only guest from her season (Big Brother 3) is Marcellas, whose eviction was more or less orchestrated by her. Coupled with the fact that Danielle was the mastermind behind the first episode's attempted ploy to have Jase disagree on nominations with Janelle in order to vote Janelle off, the nomination of Danielle wasn't going to ruffle anyone's feathers.
Alison's nomination is just as innocuous, considering the universal dislike of Alison among the house guests. She has no natural allies and tends to rub people the wrong way with her annoying and outspoken presence. Alison's only fellow house guest from her season (Big Brother 4) is Erika, and they don't seem to be the best of friends or hold on to any house loyalty.
The Power of Veto will not have any effect. Via the live feeds, we've discovered that Janelle won POV as well as Head of Household and, therefore, will keep the nominations as they are. It seems that Janelle is in favor of voting Alison out, which makes sense; she is the larger presence and is likely capable of garnering more support for herself as the game continues than Danielle. With no allies, Danielle, if she stays on, will probably start playing the floater role. This might be in Janelle's favor, since her alliance is only four deep with her Big Brother 6 cast mates (Kaysar, Howie, and James).
However, this being the very beginning of the game, anything can happen. This eviction probably won't have far-reaching ramifications; I see both Alison and Danielle evicted within the first couple of weeks anyway.
Prediction:
For Alison's Eviction: Janelle, Howie, Kaysar, James, and Erika
For Danielle's Eviction: Diane, Nakomis, Boogie, Marcellas, Chicken, Will, and Jase
I see Jase as the deciding vote, ultimately evicting Danielle and trying to get back on Alison's good side, after originally telling Alison he wouldn't nominate her. This would be the smart move for Jase, picking up another ally. Although this might anger the Big Brother Sixers, it would shake things up and let it be known that Jase is a formidable player.

Episode Overview: Big Brother 7: All-Stars begins the new season. The twenty prospective house guests are whittled to 14, we see the first Head of Household challenge, the first nominations are announced, and a couple of surprising twists.
Recap:
All right! It's time, finally, to welcome Big Brother back into our lives. Of course, this season is different. Big Brother 7: All-Stars will showcase America's favorite Big Brother house guests from previous seasons. Two weeks ago, CBS announced a list of twenty all-stars, ten men and ten women. From this group, us fans had a chance to vote for who we thought should be in the Big Brother house this season. The fan's top six all-stars would enter the house; the remaining six would be chosen by CBS.
Was last night fantastic or what? Of course, if you watched our spoilers you probably weren't terribly surprised but some nice twists regardless! What will become of poor Janelle? Is Jase brave enough to put himself in the line of fire after what happened between Kaysar and Jennifer? Or is it obvious that Janelle is the biggest threat?

Well, CBS has spoiled itself once again! The Big Brother feeds, which were to be off until tonight, clicked on momentarily revealing not only the FOURTEEN houseguests (originally it was going to be twelve, but there was a rumor a few more may be added), but the TWO heads! That's right, dual head of households! Does this mean the house is literally divided in two with infighting in each camp?
The initial group of houseguests are:
The first head of housholds will be Jase and Janelle. They must nominate two houseguests for eviction, if they fail to agree on the two, they they will be the nominees! Wanna place bets on whether or not they'll come up with somebody?
From listening to the background audio, we were also able to get some spoilers on alliances that are forming in the Big Brother Allstars house! looks like Kaysar followed through on his statements from our interview and has allied himself with Janelle and James; although rumbelings would also suggest that Janelle and Kaysar are early targets.
Looks like Chicken George, Danielle, Alison, Boogie Mike, Will and Diane have formed a supergroup as well.
Which Big Brother Allstar has the bullzeye on his back? The smart money is on Doctor Will. Big Brother fans and former houseguests alike know that Doctor Will is a cunning player and huge favorite with every day he stays. But what about Kaysar? His trust was misplaced before, could Janelle shock the world and send him packing?

Australia's media regulation "Big Brother" is powerless to act against Channel Ten's Big Brother reality TV program, because it hasn't breached any broadcasting laws. The Australian Communications and Media Authority, or ACMA, was asked to investigate the show, after an incident broadcast live over the internet on Saturday morning.
The program expelled two housemates after they allegedly held down a female contestant and one of the men straddled his crotch over her face. Ash and John, held down female contestant Camilla. One of the men straddled her, putting his crotch near her face. Camilla claimed it wasn't a big deal.
Outside the house, though, it was anything but a joke. Channel Ten took swift action, booting the men off Big Brother. Even the Prime Minister weighed in, advising Ten to cancel Big Brother.
Late today, the Federal Communications Minister Helen Coonan said she'd asked ACMA to see if it could broaden existing laws to cover material broadcast over the net and on mobile phones.
With the premiere of BIG BROTHER 7:ALL-STARS rapidly approaching, it's time to take a look at the final group of twenty who, on July 6, will be pared down to twelve live in front of a national audience.
| Ivette Corredero (Big Brother 6) | Michael "Cowboy" Ellis (Big Brother 5) | ||
![]() | Disliked for her borderline racist comments, look for the producers to choose her to shake things up. She will take the opportunity to try and redeem her image in the public eye. | ![]() | I don't understand this one. Whatever you define the term All-Star as, “Cowboy” isn't it. |
| Alison Irwin (Big Brother 4) | Mike "Boogie" Malin (Big Brother 2) | ||
![]() | Now a veteran of the reality process, having participated in The Amazing Race 5, Alison is a fearsome and shrewd competitor. The best player on BIG BROTHER 4, she lost out in the final jury vote, receiving second place. | ![]() | The most annoying house guest in BIG BROTHER history, this wannabe rapper will, I hate to say it, get picked by producers solely based on his antics. |
| Bunky Miller (Big Brother 2) | Monica Bailey (Big Brother 2) | ||
![]() | Bunky is what can only be described as a “Crying Specialist”. One of the show's most interesting players, look for him to not receive the fan vote but be one of the six selected by the producers. | ![]() | A call-out specialist, Monica can be hysterical at times. I sincerely hope she makes it, although it may not turn out that way. |
| Dana Varela (Big Brother 4) | Dr. Will Kirby (Big Brother 2) | ||
![]() | An ally of Alison on BIG BROTHER 4, she has a big mouth and can be fairly amusing at times. Probably right on the cusp of the fan vote | ![]() | The scheming, lie-prone BIG BROTHER 2 champion will be in the house and be an early favorite to win it all. |

| Erika Landin (Big Brother 4) | Janelle Pierzina (Big Brother 6) | ||
![]() | An interesting choice for an all-star, Erika isn't the most dynamic of players, maybe even a tad boring. A likely omission from the final 12. | ![]() | The hottest All-Star in the the top twenty and intelligent as well, she will make the house if only to provide well-needed eye candy. |
| Marcellas Reynolds (Big Brother 3) | Jase Wirey (Big Brother 5) | ||
![]() | A polarizing player, love him or hate him, Marcellas won't get voted in, but has a great chance at getting picked by the producers. | ![]() | An interesting character, his inclusion, at the very least, would spice up the dynamic within the house. |
| Diane Henry (Big Brother 5) | Kaysar Ridha (Big Brother 6) | ||
![]() | From BIG BROTHER 5, Diane made it to the final three despite people riding her coattails. She will likely fall short of the fan vote, but the producers may choose to put her in the house. | ![]() | The first house guest to be evicted twice, Kaysar is a fan favorite who will almost certainly receive the fan vote necessary to enter the house. |
| "Chicken" George Boswell (Big Brother 1) | Lisa Donahue (Big Brother 3) | ||
![]() | The only all-star from BIG BROTHER 1, he likes to dress up in chicken costumes. If that doesn't get him on the show, well, I don't know what will. | ![]() | A nice enough girl, but not a great player and not the eccentric character that's good for TV. Won't make it on air. |
| Howie Gordon (Big Brother 6) | James Rhine (Big Brother 6) | ||
![]() | Star Wars fanatic from BIG BROTHER 6, Howie was a fan favorite and will almost certainly be voted in. | ![]() | A great tactical player. If he makes the house, watch out. One of the early favorites. |
Regardless who makes it to the final twelve, it should be an exciting season, given the pool of talent that America and BIG BROTHER's producers have to work with.
Without good-looking people television wouldn't exist. It's true. Reality shows thrive on the currency that is young, attractive, vibrant and and other multi-adjective deserving people. Viewers demand eye candy on their shows and CBS, with BIG BROTHER, gives it to them. BIG BROTHER is a program where nothing happens for long periods of time, especially if you're watching the live feeds. The solution: hot house guests and hot tubs. Instant entertainment.
So, without further ado, here is my completely biased list of the top three hottest female house guests and the three male house guests I can grudgingly admit are handsome, albeit in an extremely heterosexual way. Let's go dudes first, so I can cleanse my pallet with the ladies at the end of the article.
Dr. Will Kirby (BIG BROTHER 2)
C'mon, not only is this guy a handsome beast, he's a doctor AND a former BIG BROTHER champion. And seriously, look at that man cleavage he's got. Stunning.
Scott Long (BIG BROTHER 5)
A former football player, Scott has made a couple million dollars as a model. According to his profile, he recently posed for Playgirl, which begs the question: which is more degrading, being naked in a magazine or on a reality TV show? He should just go for the trifecta and run for public office.
Marvin Latimer (BIG BROTHER 5)
The 36 year old Marvin was notorious for his vulgar language and occasional inappropriate groping of female house guests. And he's a mortician. Really, just the total package.
All right. Now we're onto what really matters, the ladies of Big Brother:
Janelle Pierzina (BIG BROTHER 6)
I struggled with this one. Does being an ex-con take away from one's hotness? How about having a repulsive mug shot all over the web? I think this picture trumps all of that.
Michelle Maradie (BIG BROTHER 4)
The youngest house guest ever, at 19, Michelle wasn't on for long, being the second person evicted. However, she got enough bikini time in to leave an impression. On reality television, bikini time is like dog years.
Holly King (BIG BROTHER 5)
Definitely the hottest Big Brother contestant of all time, Holly has her own website that is full of great pictures, www.hollykitty.com. Check it out, you won't regret it.
With BIG BROTHER 7 being the All-Star edition, we will have no new house guests and, therefore, no new hot people. From my list, we will hopefully see Dr. Will and Janelle make it from the twenty into the final 12 on BIG BROTHER 7: ALL-STARS. There are also some former house guests vying for the final twelve who can be considered reasonably hot, although they didn't make my list. They are Diane, Erika, Ivette and, if you like slightly overweight men who tend to dress up in chicken costumes, “Chicken” George.
See you all in the hot tub.
In a game like BIG BROTHER the difference between a half million dollar check and an early dismissal is razor thin. The game's best players have all been shrewd strategists not afraid to engage in a little back-stabbing and a little dirty politics to reach their goals. Now with BIG BROTHER: ALL-STARS set to bring many of the show's most loved (and loathed) players back together in an anything-goes battle royal, let's profile four of the game's most dominating players: Will Kirby, Janelle Pierzina, Danelle Reyes, and Maggie Ausburn, to see what it really means to be Head of Household. And how in the upcoming season these same qualities could lead these players to ultimate victory—or an early eviction.
Will Kirby
Why He’ll Win:
Charismatic and entertaining, “Evil Dr. Will”’s strength lies in his ability to read people. He won Season 2 by employing his natural charisma, surrounding himself with the right people and then flying under the radar while his competition slowly eliminated themselves. His charm was so strong that the jury still voted him champion despite an unbelievably arrogant final speech that would have cost a lesser player the game. Will knows manipulation and should go far if he’s able to form an alliance with the right people, a crucial factor given his high profile. Which brings us to….
Why He’s Toast:
Will's reputation, ironically, is what could cost him this game. No one in BIG BROTHER history casts a longer shadow and no one’s walking into the house with a bigger bull’s-eye on their chest. Like a champion prize fighter, Will will have to endure constant challenges from his fellow houseguests, many of whom would love the distinction of eliminating “the greatest player in BIG BROTHER history.” Will has also received criticism for being the strongest player on a generally weak season, relying on his charm to influence those around him. But with no “weak” players in this all-star group, he’ll have to adopt a new strategy or find himself making an early exit.
Janelle Pierzina
Why She’ll Win:
The star of Big Brother 6 (sorry Howie), Janelle overcame some initial misunderstandings and snobby comments by playing and playing hard! No stranger to evictions, Janelle found herself on the chopping block numerous times, only to save herself by kicking major butt come competition time. To advance in ALL-STARS, Janey will have to maintain that competitive fire while still remaining the intelligent, unpretentious, yet slightly bitchy spit-fire that BIG BROTHER fans love.
Why She’s Toast:
Like Will, Janelle is very high profile and as such, a big target. She’s already proven herself a strong player, both on the physical and political side so the competition will be breathing down her neck from the get-go. Janelle’s already proven she’s capable of staving off elimination after elimination, but the question remains does she have enough gas in the tank to do it again?
Danielle Reyes
Why She’ll Win:
Few houseguests in BIG BROTHER history had more of a hand in determining the outcome of their season than Danielle. Crafty and meticulous, she effectively chose which housemate would be eliminated each week without ever having to do the dirty work herself. Her strategy was so effective in fact, that she remains one of only a handful of houseguests to reach the final two without ever being nominated for eviction, losing only after a disastrous viewing of her diary room entries during the final jury vote. Expect Danielle to once again be in the center of the storm, guiding the flow of the game behind the scenes.
Why She’s Toast:
If there was one hitch in Danielle’s master plan it was her loyalty to her alliance and to Jason in particular. Such thinking landed her in a final two with the well-liked Lisa, and after the DR’s were revealed, the result was inevitable. The BIG BROTHER champion is often a shrewd Machiavellian who doesn’t allow their feeling to affect their judgment. Danielle however, allowed her emotions to influence her decisions, a critical mistake in a competition that values cunning over compassion. To survive ALL-STARS Danielle will have to keep her eye on the prize and look out for number one or else she might wind up number two for the second time.
Maggie Ausburn
Why She'll Win:
It's questionable whether Maggie will return for ALL-STARS, but if she does, look out for the season 6 champ. Understanding the role gossip plays in determining housemates' loyalties, Maggie always kept her cards close to her chest. Appearing neutral allowed her to keep her alliance together, preventing the group's volatile personalities from tearing each other apart. Unlike Danielle, Maggie understood the necesity of remaining detached and impersonal, checking her emotions at the door. Her million dollar poker face could very well lead to (another) half million dollar prize.
Why She's Toast:
Much of Maggie's success was less the result of strategy than circumstance. Thrown into the leadership position midway through season 6, her group was a mix of fragile egos who responded well to her clinical leadership style. It's unlikely such an alliance would form again on ALL-STARS. Maggie could also find herself at odds with the rest of the house should someone mistake her low key approach for stand-off-ishness and make her an early target for eviction.
Big Brother fan sites are buzzing over a possible web mistake by CBS that might have revealed the top twenty for Big Brother All-Stars. JokersUpdates.com members posted a link to a CBS page in their forum that contained the question "Which of your favorite Big Brother contestants would you like to see compete again in Big Brother: All-Stars?" followed by a list of twenty names. The names in the survey are listed below, so stop reading now if you don't want to know.
We personally clicked on the link while the survey was still live, and while the page first appeared to be a page of blank radio buttons, a quick highlight of the screen revealed twenty names that correspond with previous Big Brother houseguests. The twenty names were Alison, Bunky, Dana, Danielle, Diane, Erika, George, Howie, Ivette, James, Janelle, Jase, Kaysar, Lisa, Marcellas, Michael, Mike, Monica, Nakomis, and Will.
While some of the names obviously can be correlated to a specific houseguest from a specific Big Brother season, a couple of the names like Will, Michael, and Mike could correlate to a couple different houseguests. RealityBBQ.com posts that it's likely Will Kirby and Mike "Boogie" Malin from Big Brother 2 and likely Michael "Cowboy" Ellis. The survey has since been removed from the CBS website.
The official reveal of the top twenty candidates from previous Big Brother seasons is not set to take place until Wednesday, June 21 at 8PM ET/PT. Web voting will open after candidates are officially revealed starting at midnight ET/9PM PT. The polls will close on Wednesday, June 28 at 11:59PM ET/8:59PM PT.
A professional tennis player, a 50-year-old Abba-impersonating grandmother and a national newspaper journalist are two of the 35 Golden Ticket holders who have a chance of entering the Big Brother house tonight.
The Big Brother housemates will be asked to gather in the garden and randomly pick a lottery ball which will determine who will join them.
All the ticket holders will be on the Big Brother stage before one of them, with a number that corresponds to the ball, walks up the Big Brother steps at 10pm and into the house on the live show.
The ticket holders include Tim Slessor, 28, an audio visual editor from London who found the very first golden ticket and was persuaded into registering by his colleagues.
Also on the list is professional gambler and journalist Ed Murray, 28, whose association with the show goes back to BB5 when he won £26,000 on Nadia winning which cleared his student debts.
Su Lindsey, 50, who describes herself as an older, “better looking” version of Lea, would be Big Brother’s oldest ever contestant if she is chosen.
Her ticket was bought on eBay by her exasperated husband, who was fed up with the number of Kit Kats she was buying.
Also in possession of a ticket is former internet stripper Matt Oakes, 22, from Coventry, a barman who says he is a virgin.
Mohammed ’Nad’ Butt, a 25-year-old London-based self-confessed playboy works for a celebrity and glamour model photo agency and says he would sign Lea to the agency if he got picked.
Another potential housemate, Sue Carter, 34, found her Golden Ticket after buying 13,000 Kit Kats in a radio promotion.
Philip Colaco, 21, from Dundee, Deby Dakers, 25, from Norwich, and unemployed Martyn Hilliard, 23, from Market Harborough, are amongst several of the hopefuls who bought their tickets on eBay.
Journalist Rachel Richardson, 27, at the News of the World also has a ticket in a bid to get an inside take on the show.
Sales of the chocolate bars doubled following the launch of the promotion on May 18, and the Midlands became the most successful region for finding Golden Tickets, with 13 winners.
In total, 58 Golden Tickets were claimed, but two people have not entered the competition – a student who has to complete his A-Levels, and an eight-year-old boy who found a golden ticket in his Kit Kat, and whose parents have framed it on his bedroom wall.
A further two, another national newspaper journalist and a civil engineer, had to drop out at the last minute.
Some 42 tickets were either lost or have not been found within the time frame, and other ticket holders did not pass the background checks, while people also called the claims line to say their washing machines had destroyed their tickets or their pets had eaten them.
A Big Brother spokesman said: “We are delighted that 35 Golden Ticket holders will have a chance of entering the Big Brother house tonight. The response to the competition has been incredible and we have been amazed that so many people are able to drop everything to become a housemate.”

Half of viewers in a television monitoring survey have said the seventh series of Big Brother should be the last.
The survey of 552 people, who are either watching the current run of the Channel 4 reality show or who have seen previous series, found 50% do not want to see another series next year.
This compared with 36% of viewers who want to see the show return.
The figures, from a leaked ITV audience monitoring sample, also showed that 37% of respondents thought Big Brother is worse this year compared with 26% who think it is the same.
Twenty per cent said they think the show is better while 2% said they had not watched previous series.
Thirty per cent of those surveyed said they talk about the show less than in previous years, compared with 26% who said they talk about it the same amount. Eleven per cent said they talk about it more.
A further 38% agreed the show was on too much while 36% agreed there were too many spinoffs, such as Big Brother's Big Mouth and Big Brother's Little Brother.
More worryingly for the show, 49 per cent of those who have watched the current series agreed that some of the contestants were mentally unwell while 40% said they were more extreme.
Channel 4 has had to fend off accusations that several of the contestants have mental health problems, following complaints from the Mental Health Foundation.
The charity's chief executive, Andrew McCulloch, wrote to the Channel 4 director of programming, Kevin Lygo, saying the show reinforced negative stereotypes of people with mental illness, fed discrimination and made them a "laughing stock".
The survey, which is weighted to represent the UK population, was taken over the weekend of May 26-28, which saw the eviction of the first contestant, Bonnie, and followed the week that saw Shahbaz walk out and Dawn chucked out for cheating.
The results will come as a shock to Channel 4, which relies on Big Brother as an annual boost to its ratings and revenue.
A spokesman for the broadcaster said the show's ratings were up 9% on last year. He added:
"Frankly it so strains credibility to believe that ITV conducted this research in anything like an impartial manner that we don't think it's worth commenting. As nobody can show us any evidence for their findings, we will continue to rely on viewing figures that show indisputably that Big Brother has increased in popularity among its target audience."
The current series does not finish until the end of August - its longest run yet.
Mike “Boogie” Malin
35 Years Old
Restauranteur
Concord, NH
Big Brother 2: 4th Evicted
Most Memorable Big Brother Moment:
The wannabe rapper christened his alliance “ChillTown”, which has to be the most annoying alliance name in reality-TV history. He also was caught picking his nose constantly, hence the nickname “Boogie”.
Big Brother 7: All-Stars Scouting Report:
“Boogie” is not a favorite to go all the way, but may turn into a wild card down the road on Big Brother 7:All-Stars. It is unlikely he will have an alliance set up and may succeed in the pivotal “floater” role for the first few evictions, keeping him safe until somewhere around the mid-point of the game.

Marcellas Reynolds
38 Years Old
Celebrity Stylist
Chicago, IL
Big Brother 3: 9th Evicted
Most Memorable Big Brother Moment:
After he was nominated, Marcellas won the Power of Veto but, unfathomably, declined to use it on himself. Not surprisingly, he was then evicted from the Big Brother house.
Big Brother 7: All-Stars Scouting Report:
Unlikable in most viewer's eyes, Marcellas is loud and full of himself. After the house guests get acquainted with him and, in turn, annoyed with his antics, look for Marcellas to be one of the first house guests evicted from Big Brother 7: All-Stars.

Kaysar Ridha
25 Years Old
Graphic Designer
Irvine, CA
Big Brother 6: 4th and 6th evicted
Most Memorable Big Brother Moment:
Getting completely stabbed in the back by Jennifer. Kaysar gave away Head of Household to her and Jennifer promptly nominated him for eviction, where he was voted out of the Big Brother house.
Big Brother 7: All-Stars Scouting Report:
The only house guest to be evicted twice, Kaysar is hoping the third time's a charm. A smart and cunning player, his failure in Big Brother 6 can be mostly attributed to bad luck. Because of his popularity with the viewers, look for Kaysar to have a target on his back from the get go. If he makes it through the first couple evictions, Kaysar could very well make a run at the ultimate prize on Big Brother 7:All-Stars.

Jase Wirey
30 Years Old
Safety Director
Taylorville, IL
Big Brother 5: 5th Evicted
Most Memorable Big Brother Moment:
Got bit by what turned into a running theme of Big Brother 5; Jase trusted his girlfriend Adria and, as a result, got himself evicted.
Big Brother 7: All-Stars Scouting Report:
Free of the burden that was his significant other on Big Brother 5, Jase gets a well-deserved shot at Big Brother redemption. My gut tells me we only got to witness a flash of his game playing potential the first time around, so look for Jase to surprise some people on Big Brother 7: All-Stars. A real dark horse candidate.

Janelle Pierzina
26 Years Old
VIP Cocktail Waitress
Grand Rapids, MN
Big Brother 6: 10th Evicted
Most Memorable Big Brother Moment:
Janelle was a fountain of entertainment on Big Brother 6, whether it was dishing out one-liners, calling out fellow house guests when she deemed fit, or simply being hot.
Big Brother 7: All-Stars Scouting Report:
Beneath her ditzy blonde exterior is an intelligent, savvy and calculating competitor. Perhaps the best overall player on Big Brother 6, she comes into All-Stars with a reputation that may get her targeted early. However, considering the amount of Big Brother 6 competitors back for All-Stars, evicting Janelle won't be easy.

James Rhine
30 Years Old
Loss Prevention Manager
Miami, FL
Big Brother 6: 8th Evicted
Most Memorable Big Brother Moment:
James liked to run his big mouth constantly on Big Brother 6 and also had a tendency to show his emotions by getting particularly nervous during key moments, often biting his nails, picking his eyebrows and sitting alone in a corner.
Big Brother 7: All-Stars Scouting Report:
James seemed like a great strategist on Big Brother 6, though this may have been a bit of a misnomer. Big Brother 6 featured the most polarized house in the show's history, and his strategic abilities may have been enhanced because of it. Regardless, he goes into All-Stars in pretty good shape considering what should be a solid alliance with all of his Big Brother 6 house mates.

Howie Gordon
35 Years Old
Light Saber Salesman
Chicago, IL
Big Brother 6: 9th Evicted
Most Memorable Big Brother Moment:
Super Geek Howie made waves with his incessant ranting on the live feeds and tendency to break out into lightsaber fights on Big Brother 6.
Big Brother 7: All-Stars Scouting Report:
Howie is undoubtedly entertaining and likable, the sole reasons he made the cut for Big Brother 7:All-Stars. However, his game play was suspect on season 6. Look for Howie to immediately align himself with his Big Brother 6 cast mates, who represent All-Star's largest single season population.
